Re: DCI 65 pov spec commuter OEM+
Car's looking good mate, putting in a fair bit of work! So jealous of everyone able to do wide track conversions on their dci's :(
Thought about doing any colour coding?
Is this so? I've got a 65 cat lying around and knew it wouldn't fit my 100, but...
There's a little bit in the back of the projector unit that moves. Can see it here, it's the little bit sticking out just above the lower of the two bolts:
Just flick that up/down and it'll flatten the beam pattern, instead of it having the flick up at the left.
I'm pretty sure that's all...
Ideal! I'll get payment sorted when I get a bit of spare time in work :)

Also maybe worth checking the pulley on the alternator. When the pulley on my last dci was on its way out it was letting off just enough tension to allow the belt to start squealing. Get someone to rev the engine while you're looking at it, can usually see a little bit of movement in it if it's...
I plan on getting mine decatted in the near future. I want a proper pipe instead of just hollowing out the cat itself so I'm gonna enquire about it at a few places, I'll let you know what they say regarding the visual checks on an MOT.
Not sure on the bore of the exhaust, I THINK it could be...
Thanks mate. I've not made a thread on it, only got what's in here. It wasn't all that difficult though really, hardest part was getting things to line up and sit properly.
Easiest way to do it is to split the exhaust at the join near the front of the car, then if you can manage it get the...
I'd suggest checking the clutch pedals switch then, it might have been knocked out of adjustment and the car is thinking the clutch is pressed down.
Failing that I'd think the only other thing it could be is the steering wheel controls
FFS. Just been to a garage and had this checked. Both front wheel bearings are needing replaced.
I am running spacers tbf but why would bearings fail so quickly? Been through 3 n/s bearings in the last year!
Oh. And the garage I took it to were the ones who replaced my o/s bearing about 2...
Seems like I have never ending bearing problems on my car :(
Firstly, the noise I have on the car is like a wheel bearing. I've checked both wheels and there's no grinding or play in the hubs. Also both front wheel bearings have seen less than 20k miles, the newer of the two being changed about...
Nope, connector blocks are slightly different shapes for the ph2 and ph3 dials.
It's probably manageable by cutting little bits out the connectors because they're not TOO different, but it would be a complete cowboy job
I used the metal bar from the middle of a silicone sealant gun like this lol

The right angled bit on the end attached to the bit from...
Cheers man! No prizes for guessing where I got the inspiration from lol.
Standard exhaust hanger it is then! Got some sikaflex in the garage, so I'll get myself a new hanger and fill it with that.
I'm quite liking the sound so far, not too loud and the little bit of turbo chatter when coming...
Smallish update. Removed the backbox from my car this weekend in prep of the remap i've been wanting for ages. Just need a decat first too.
Started on Saturday by going and getting some pipe from the scrappies and got bored so decided to do this:
Bodge jobs ftw! :DGave me an idea of how it...
My bad :o shouldn't be bringing us dci's down like that! :p
That's more what I wanted to hear lol. Guess I'll just need to find what's the correct ABS rings now. Cheers :D
Ah I didn't realise there was that much to it. I knew I'd need the stub axle and abs sensors, possibly the calipers too (cross-threaded a carrier bolt into the caliper by accident so they'll need replaced next time they come off anyway)
I always thought the rear discs and calipers and stuff on...
I'm pretty sure that all they need is to be aligned properly. IIRC the 'headlamp aim' section of an mot only states that they need to be properly aligned, but not adjustable.
