hi mate,
ive done this, altho i replaced it with a momo one. i actually wrote a little guide for it. The general feedback was that it either comes off first time using mole grips and brute force, or it doesnt come off at all...
They were all the same! one of them was taken with the flash hence why it picked up all of the glitter in the paint (it doesnt normally look like that unless you constantly shine a torch at it lol) I love em, hence why these particular ones are going in my car :D im gonna take some better photos...
looks good and a good price, as long as you use a good plastic primer and laquer you should be fine. I used a leveller with my spraying to give a really smooth finish and get rid of the orange peel effect. You can pick this up in halfords with your laquer and primer on a 3 for 2 for ten quid
I do have some, put to be honest i took them quite late and theyre a bit blurring and dont really do them justice. Ill pm you the links to them now anyway, and if your still interested ill try and take some better ones
a lot of the time its not how good the paint is, its how good you are at using it, its very time consuming and you have to get a really smooth finish to start off with for it to look any good. Looked on demon tweeks but cant find it, have you got a link?
Anyone got a picture of the ktec sunstrip sticker across the front windscreen.
ive got one and want to shove it on ebay, but want a pic of one on a car.
Thanks.
the only thing ive known to have "worked" is a professional valet using a pro karcher cleaner.
ive got some meguiars which looks promising. i used to use turtle wax interior 1 foam, which not great on dirt stains did work really well on the water stains.
i was contemplating doing the centre section but in the end ive decided not too. the most difficult bit will be getting it out and masking it up, apart from that itll be easy-peasy.
got some off the forum for £17 including postage. has taken hours to sand them down and spray them up in flip.
last set were from a billabong, renault quoted me £16 for the long one and something like £10 for the shorter one of the right side of the steering wheel. although i think these...
having spoke to renault they claimed as i bought it second hand the liability lies with the dealership. trading standards said a similar thing, so im proceeding against the dealership... altho the only thing ill get out of it is a longer drive when i need to get some warranty work done lol
my clutch is making a noise when its warm but i think it may just be a dry joint in the actual pedal.
also - what do mean by lumpy? is it when pushing the clutch in you get a hard area that makes it lumpy?
basically if i get any water on the seat then itll stain really badly. ive had a professional valet done, which hasnt made the seats any better. in fact its made them worse in places.
i took it up with renault UK who were completely useless, and having spoken to the local citizens advice i...
after getting nowhere with renault UK i have now been informed by my local citizens advice centre to use the small claims court.
as such i could do with a list of names and addresses of people who have encountered a problem with their billabong interiors and specifically water stains...
ok people, im finally getting somewhere with this now.
got my local dealer to phone renault uk, and they say that if i can get an independant specialist to view the car and state there is a specific fault then they will replace all the original billabong covers :D
should have the...
cant see why not as long as you keyed it up and used a plastic primer. you would have to be very careful when masking it off though, unless of cause you took them out.
its a complete rip-off from them. actually struggled to find a good flip that came in an aerosol form. as for the interior, ive got some major plans for that :D
pearl black, but got the sh!tty green billabong interior
paints a secret ;) ... but send me yours and £20 and ill sort you out lol
