ive got alpine type s in my car and i really rate them, theyre obviously not as good as components so i wont even pretend they are - but for the money theyre good. £63.99 is an absolute rip off IMO.
do your research and you can get front AND rears for £63.99...
i had a go at renault and my dealer about the fact my bonnet chips like butter, even though it had a full respray done by the garage and they wouldnt touch the stone chips i had, because its due to the acrylic paint :@
cause its a plastic lense. my mums punto does it, and my clio does it occasionally.

fiat dealership told my mum there was nothing to worry about unless you had water visibly dripping down the inside of the lens. my clios seem to fog up, but...
i know someone who screwed their amp into the back of their seats (old style mini) and it didnt last two seconds before it worked loose.
if you used a wooden block youd have the same trouble of attaching the wood to the seat. if you did use screws then the rear passengers would also feel...
in theory it needs servicing every 18k, so if it was serviced at 25k you could leave it until 43k. however from a resale point of view it would be better to get back on the servicing schedule.
i was told by my renault dealer i could leave it for a couple of thousand, so say 20k for my first...
i told my insurance company about my replacement panel filter. i was informed there would be no change to the policy for an induction kit, but thought its better to be honest and up-front. at least then i cant get screwed on if i need to claim for the car.
i want a new fag lighter in my clio2. but the only ones ive seen are ct racing, and ripspeed ones, and these are both too big.
does anyone know where i could get one from that would fit ?
chips away and other companies can get scratches out, but with the scratching being really quite big and deep i doubt theyd be able to do a perfect job.
however ring them up first, cause theyll give u a free quote and tell you if they can do it or not.
i have posted on this subject before, so search
you can just pull them off as theyre only attached via some plastic lugs. you can then spray them up, or replace them with some from renault. £16 and £9ish for the two inserts.
personally if your going to go through the time and effort of fitting different speakers, you may as well go for good quality components.
im sure that will be the general concencus as well :p
ill agree the treble can be a little harsh, however because of the way they fit in a clio II the tweeter actually points downwards into the carpets so doesnt actually sound that harsh IMO.
for the RRP of £60ish i think you can get much better speakers like the inifinities, however for £35...
nitromors will strip all the lacquer, and the paint off the alloy as itll strip upto 15 or 25 layers of paint depending on which one you get.
turps or meths will be a better bet and less extreme.
i use Turtle Wax Interior One which is quite good at removing the white stains from the billabong interior when it gets wet with rain etc.
it also gets rid of the dirt off the back seats where the dog sits a treat.
id ring them and see if theyre prepared to do it first. it does state in your warranty book that interior trim isnt covered, so you may have to push them to get them to do it.
