hi all,
just got some alpine type s door speakers in the post, but the tweeter points downwards. i was wondering if i turned the speaker upside down, so the tweeter pointed more up if it would improve the sound quality, or would it be exactly the same regardless.
also (as ive not yet...
ive upgraded my dynamique to osram silverstars (h7) and there is a definete improvement in the amount of light output.
externally the light isnt pure white, but is white-ish. i wouldnt say it was any different to the standard clio bulbs to be perfectly honest.
my dad however has the same...
ive never bothered soldering before, have just krimped them. but i always thought that was a bodge way of doing it, even though i never had any problems.
i think that the 1.2 16v dynamique i have is slower than the 1.2 16v punto i used to own (75hp vs 86hp and less weight), however it drives much nicer and is more chuckable into the corners. the ride and handling is also sweeter which compensates for the speed. ultimately tho it is a group 3 as...

if these will connect the front speakers what do you use for the rears? or do you still have to get the soldering iron out :p
that gear knob isnt lift up reverse as ive got the momo race and its got a completely flat bottom without the screw on cap that covers the grub screws.
it has one grub screw that actually goes through the leather of the gear knob.
i had some crap billabong door sills on my car, and when i removed them there was a load of sticky double sided tape style glue.
i just put white spirit on it, and left it for a little bit to soak, then just rubbed at it with a cloth and its come off fine with no damage to the cill. then i...
shouldnt see it as being too much of a problem, however you would only probably be able to do the fairly flat internal panels (i.e. sections without loads of connections etc.) but i doubt this would stop the rattles - just make the cabin quieter in my opinion
you might want to look into...
i couldnt change the dip beam on my dynamique (drivers side) so i had to get the dealer to do it (and show me how to do it) - bludy £20 plus i had to buy the bulb. luckily made it into a mod with some osram silverstars, so it wasnt a total loss.
only about 350 quid - upgraded bulbs all round, ms designs grille, momo gear knob, momo door sills, momo mats, black repeaters etc. just the small things that make a difference :p
had it 5 months, but i am a poor student.
a similar thing happened to me when the engine died and went into limp mode. however the person at the garage told me it was to do with an electrical fault relating to the throttle body? no idea what she was on about, to be honest i dont think she knew but they sorted it under warranty and...
thatd be mint.
to be honest its not one of the jobs i want to immediately get done, as i want to get me wheels and xhaust done first, but i probably will get it done sometime in the near future :)
im based in stoke. im not looking to get it done for a little while - i was interested in pricing it up so i could decide if it was a worthwhile addition. thanks for offering tho :D
Thanks for the help, definatly something im gonna look into, after ive sorted out a few little niggly things *alloys :D* Ps, what was the place called where u got ure seats/cards done for 350 quid, sounds good to me ;)

Just had a search and couldnt find anything on leather retrims in an 03 clio. Just wondering what the basic cost would be for the full interior (all seats and door cards)
What do people think of red leather in a black car ?
i want some new repeaters but in the smoked variety. whats gonna be the easiest and best way to do this?
buy some ACE or something from a car parts shop OR tint the orignal ones ?
seems to be a good price if the postage is reasonable. (especially as you get a free cd player)
arguably an Alpine has better sound quality, but for the money id be tempted to buy a sony like that :D
yeah the code is in the door but to be honest i cant remember which one it is.
i bought one of the touch up sets from halfords and i wouldnt recommend them as when its dry the colour wasnt even a close match. you can get them from renault which is probably going to be a better match...
its a black pearl one. not as easy to find in a car park compared to the old broon yellow punto ;) but i thought id go for something a bit more understated and then go for a dark sleeper look. theres also some build quality - which is nice

Hiya all,
ive just got myself an 03 clio billabong, and sold the old punto sporting so ive signed up from puntoforum
ive only had the car since the start of the month, and being a student dont have a huge budget  but ive already started modifying by adding momo mats, nice...
