Shouldn't be any difference in the amount of tyre that comes into contact with the road.
Explains halfway down this page, with some lovely diagrams:

Well it could easily be the heat shield if it's corroded away from the washers like mine did, I found mine sat across the top of my back boxes!
In regards to removing panels, I'd ask Gray, he's brilliant at removing interiors.
My car is held together with duck tape, cable ties and super glue...
But I don't have any rattles any more, and it drives brilliantly now for a change!
Your welcome!
Also, now you've suffered one problem with your zorst, they'll keep occuring.
I've superglued my heat shield to the floor of my car now, fed up of the rattles!
Well if you poke your head under, you should be able to hear any blows on tick over, should sound like a "putting" noise.
You could have a heat shield loose as well, my car had a rattle on over run, turned out to be the heatshield sat on the back boxes.
+1 for CV grease as well, just check...
If it's getting a respray anyway, you could try touching it up. If you f**k up, it won't matter.
You could try using some very fine wet and dry on them, see if that helps.
I hope for your sake, you've either got individual throttle bodies or a low comp turbo.
Other than that, best brake combinations to go for are what's already been said^
+1
The theory behind it's to create a back pressure to remove heat from the bay.
But many people say that it doesn't make any difference whatsoever, and just makes it look like you've been in a front ender.
Tyres definatly make a massive difference to how a car behaves, just replaced all 4 tyres on the freelander I drive. Gone from road tyres that were on the limit, to nearly new offroad tyres.
The handling was questionable to start with, similar to keeping a jelly from falling off a plate, but...
Have you tested the new bulbs in the drivers side holder? If the bulbs work in there, I can only assume that there's an issue with the connections in the holder, or the connecting wire.
V nice, just needs darker wheels and cup spoiler/splitter.
and in response to the picture above... you need black pro race 1.2s to pull them off :rasp:
Theres no gasket at that joint, and it's the worst one to try and get to seal properly IMO.
I'd get a new clamp for it, undo the joint and clean off any paste/gum/crap, clamp it up with new clamp and seal with a silicone based sealant
