Finally.
It's taken nearly two years, and a lot of time, money and effort. But this evening I replaced the last part of my damaged car.
I'm over the moon!
How it stands now:
and what it came from, the crashed abused car that it was:
Yeah theres a couple of...
Love dc5s, theres a white one on white alloys round here, looks amazing.
I'm loving the easiness of bolting on japanese parts. Everythings so much cheaper and simpler to do :dapprove:
Just got off the phone from orange, woman on the end of the phone said that on the 14th of september they're actually reducing the rate from 20p a minute to 14p?
That's not what I've read here...
I can fit it for you? I use a brilliant method of four cliphts.
...or more seriously, drive onto some wooden planks and get it trolly jacked up.
...or just come over to mine some time and i'll tiger seal it on for you.
You can have a look at mine at the Matlock meet, blueflame cat back system with decat. Unfortunatley it sets off car alarms.
I've heard the janspeed systems are good though, and not too noisey?
I was going for paradas once I've worn out the budgets, but I'm hearing good things about these hankook thingymebobbys?
It'd be nice to see a comparison between the RS-2 and the paradas
You're right, coilovers aren't the be all and end all, but sticking harder springs on uprated dampers will result in them not matching up. Coilovers that are properly set up with adjustable damping will stop body roll, and give a really comfortable ride IMO
Doubt it'll make any difference performance wise.
If you look down the centre of a catalytic converter, you can see why a decat will give you gains. Removing a scilencer will just give you more noise.
Take it back to the garage and explain the situation? Other wise you'll have to see if you can get some one to pull the dent out, and touch up the paint where it's been taken off.
You'll save yourself a lot of money, if you get some one to give you a spin in a much faster car.
Then you'll understand why people say "save up for something with a bigger engine"
After Addz took me out in his cooper s years ago, I knew I had to get something quicker than my 1.3 fiesta...
