539s arent the best, but they arent the worst......they are not rain tyres, of course a tyre called rainsport and designed to run in the rain are going to be good in the wet....how silly.

you could probably sort yourself out for 80 quid.....100 if your lazy and buy a kit.
Or take an oil cooler off a car in the scrappy, or buy one from a dealer if you can find a cheap one. Sort the unions and hoses then just bolt it to your sandwhich plate.

how will a higer pressure solve your flow rate suppy problems?
TO double the flow you need to increase the pressure by 4 times through the same oriface.
We used to get vapour lock problems with the non return system on the V6.
lol, ive blown and seized too may engine when messing about, so i know it can be a right laugh....we actually built and spent a week modding a golf engine once to see how far we could get before blowing it BIG stylee....lasted about 4 days too, but used about 4ltrs of water every 10 miles lol...

Whenever we blow an engine we are rolling on the floor after.
But it looks like a fueling problem caused it.....nowt to do with the pistons not being up to it.
How much that gonna set you back!

stick with your 1.6, or get one of those free insurance deals with a new clio...itll probably be cheaper to stick with yout car, the insurance money you save will be minimal.
so the stud snapped off with a bit poking out or you sheared the nut off it?
If teh stud is snapped, try some plus gas and a whole lot of force with clamps or anything you can get hold of. Easyouts are b******s, they sometimes work on larger bolts/studs.........but wear safety glasses as when...

How good are they, well, they do the job you ask, they cool the oil.
its thermo controlled meaning oil doesnt flow to the cooler below the opening temp, so warmup times are not affected. Then, once its at the temp you want it just keeps...
