haha, that might have something to do with it. i have the worst combination of things from an insurance perspective, a modified performance car, being 19, and male. got a quote from admiral for 4,500, in other words "we dont want to insure you". going to give bell another ring now.

i used to have a s****y fiesta, with 10mm spacers on, and wide alloys... im not proud of it. didnt like them cus it changed the whole geometry of the car and shook it to peices at anything over 50mph. the amount of thread on the bolts was a bit scary too, i think the nuts only managed two turns...

thats very true, but you could tell from the brake lining on it that he'd been using that alloy for a while, and ive got a mate who does car body work, he checked it out and nothing had been tampered with. all the crumple zones were intact and it looked like a bargain at the time
