The Death of the Trophy and its Reincarnation

Good comments and a happy ending! Mike's taken a kicking in the wallet, but I think it's only reinforced the positive views that people on this forum have of both him and his business. Has this thread been repeated on ClioTrophy.net as well? Spread the word, I say! :) D.

he told his mum he was only going to shop

Tough little Clio that. It made be caged inside to hell, but the driver doesn't even look a bit stunned. D.

    Clio Sport Spotted 182?

^^^^ - could be a silver one if it's a 182 and it was dark? Or even petrol blue, at a push? But they are an ultra-rare colour, so perhaps not! Whereabouts was this? D.

Apple updates. Do they require a specific port?

No worries guys. I've had this info passed over third-hand. I'll go and take a look at it myself! D.

Apple updates. Do they require a specific port?

Just a general question chaps. Our G5 Mac has no issue at all getting on the internet. However, the software updates option just doesn't seem to to work - it times-out eventually. I'm wondering if the updates use a specific port that we are currently blocking? Or is it something more obvious...

Renault Service = Car riddled with scratches

Bang on. It's amazing how much more you can get at times by playing the 'annoyed but willing to listen' card. If that doesn't work, you can always take your anger up a gear or two... ;) D.

sorry if repost new Evo 10 information..

How high do those rear doors go up? :S Hardly a munter of a car, but place an Evo VI alongside that and the Ten looks pap. Such a shame that cars from 7, 8, 9+ years ago look so much better than the bus-queue resistent drivel that's being churned out these days. A new Peugeot anyone? I've...

Bloody hell - you get everywhere in that car. When's its 180,000 mile service due? Next week? ;) D.

    HOW MUCH !! Clio Trophy

It's from a dealer. They are entitled to base their pricing on some random calculation like their shoes size times the number of doughnuts they eat in a year divided by the square root of the number of time Mr. T says "SUCKA!" in Series 1 of the A-Team. D.

    Rare Renaults

I wonder if anyone has tried to hoof one of those into a Clio V6? Same engine, after all..... ;) D.

    What do i choose? R26 or R27

R26 definitely. Before you even get to the merits of each car, the Meggy just looks a million times better. I'd rather have a turbo'd Meggy on the drive than a tubby Clio anyday. ;) D.

They had literally just sorted it all out when we got there. The new section of reservation was in place, but a few Highway Agency Transits were mulling about on the hard shoulder. Must have been a big impact. :( D.

Mornin! :) Spotted you on the outside lane of the M6 earlier on. We were sat in that car park of traffic heading southbound. Around Charnock Richard, I think? D.

    PC or MAC

To be fair Karen, haven't you had quite a few issues with your Mac(s) in the past? ;) What RichRSi says about the designers with Macs and making things easier, really does ring true. We have a few web firms and printers that send DVDs over for our G5 guy. We tend to have very, very few issues...

Jainy's first trackday pics at Oulton....

Ah, its an RPM limiter rather than speed then? Probably makes sense in a way - extending the life of the engine instead of everyone screaming around at 90mph in third gear! ;) D.

More Rallyday 2007 @ Castle Combe Pics.

My two faves as well, m8! Though naturally I have a third leg appearing for that Evo too. Nice, thoughtful touches about CM and the parade lap & Scoobies from the sounds of it. Great pics as always, Rich. D.

Jainy's first trackday pics at Oulton....

I booked it late last year for her, m8 - phoned them up from this site... http://www.motorsportvision.co.uk/experiences/racemaster.aspx At the Oulton Park venue, you drive the 197 and the single seater. And as Benbosh says, the Brands Hatch circuit offers the Meggy 225 and the single seater...

Mk2 172 flamer near Oulton Park...

Had a private plate that ended in 'TYS' iirc. Only spotted it at the last minute - I gave a quick wave and got one back. ;) Anyone off here? D.

Jainy's first trackday pics at Oulton....

After getting the trackday as a Chrissy present last year, today was the day that Jain finally got to use it. First up in the 197 and then the single seater, all of us in Jain's entourage (lol!) were hoping like mad that the rain held off. It did for the most part, but we did see one spinner...

Yes to the decals & stripes Chris - I think they would both look great.:approve: D.

    PC or MAC

I'm the usual disliker of Macs, but to be fair the recent G5 and Macbook that we've bought for work have been really good bits of kit. If you're after general usage and don't mind paying a little extra - I'd recommend the Mac. Having said that, the price vs spec issue on some PC laptops these...

    197 Cup unveiled

Are those supposed to be 17s on it? They look even more weedy and puny than the ones on the stock 197! Looks much better in the white & black wheel combo, but it still appears nowhere on my Next Wanted List. D.
