    on a ramp dead easy, on the floor pain in the bum i'd imagine!! disconnect battery, drivers wheel off. main feed and exciter off the starter, pull heatshield back. three bolts holding starter on from gearbox side. pull heatshield out, take starter out on drivers side, bit fiddly but easy enough.

    chances are caused by dihydrogen monoxide, be careful as immersion in this can kill!!! short term exposure symptoms are wrinkly white finger tips. is odorless and tasteless so be careful around it.

    check earths and check you are getting 12v at the exciter when you turn the key, if all are ok then it's starter.

    you'd need to change the wiring in the car to use the phase 2 uch. only practical way of doing it is using the phase 1 ecu.

    euro, get a facet one. doubt it's your sensor though as there is no reason why they would cause high idle.

    yup, wrong. crank sensors can give various problems.

    is the adaprtonic piggybacked on to the clio ecu? if so you trying to run phase 2 ecu in a phase 1?
