like i said, coilover only use coiled springs on the front in teh MK1 clio case.
The lowring is done by removing and then replacing the bars, hence no increase in preload.
Dampers increase compression and rebound damping rates, but spring rate stays the same.
but they probably wont have the manifold.....
the XE responds to TBs and simple cams changes really really well...and is why its so popular in competition.

wont be down to running lean, an engine will only suck as much as its finite amount is dictated.
a filter far away leaves alot of air between butterfly and open air. heat soak and poor response.
overall, i dont think it will make a diff.
our V6 that ran on dunlop cut slicks didnt seem overly fast, but torque was amazing.

one thing i thought about the gearlever though, it comes back nice, but the throw forward is miles!!!!
you can make a metro FLY especially the turbo. The A series is common as muck and because of this, it has been developed to death. Cheap turbo head, and there are hundres of specialists about.
You can get a nice 200bhp out of it wit work, but a more modest and reliable 160 is fine.

getting the head to flow a substantial amount more is not hard, but you will be loosing substantial amounts of velocity.
In my opnion, its not worth it at all. Youll be much better off buying some throttle bodies rather than running on the OE TB and inlet manifold. Its highly restrictive. We...

a set of group N discs (maxtorq) for 35.20
and either some mintex 1144 pads (which i have had on the track in a MK1 fezzy lapping faster than a porsche 928) with no fade and i rate very highly, or some Hawk ferro carbon pads.
