AGP Pro was bit of an odd-ball, from what I recall. And yes, an 8x card will run happily in a 4x mobo socket.
There's a good article on Wikipedia about AGP....

LOL! I usually end up seeing people when I nip out at dinner. Failing that, if I go to visit another depot, you can bet I'll see an RS Clio knocking about. :D

Isn't that the wrong way around? Only the flash b******s got the Archimedes?! :p I remember we had one at school with Zarch on it - well cool at the time....

Sorry if I touched a nerve. I would have thought the winky-winky would have shown you that I wasn't serious.... :rasp:
The Mac and PC argument is the computer equivalent of the West vs. terrorists. Each side thinks they are right and each side will never back down. I'm not bothered either way...
Anyone got a two-car family? Seems massively worth it to insure the two at the same time with the same company, such as Admiral's Multi-Car scheme.
Insured seperately:-
182 - £760 last year for me and Jain as a named driver. Recent quotes above £800 for the renewal.
V6 - £670 for Jain as the...
Just let onto you when you were sat at the traffic lights, waiting to pull out. Didn't catch the reg, but there's not many of those around 'ere!

I'm using an Orange M600 as a works phone at the moment with Windows Mobile on it. To be honest, the thing I like best is the synching between Outlook contacts from my PC to the phone. I know this has been available for years, but it just 'works' a treat on this.
Apart from that, I don't use...
Bang on the nose, there m8. Either a BMW or a fully loaded Golf GTi that cost half the national debt of China.... ;)
The old, cliched adage of 'each to their own' I suppose!

Hahaha - spotted the 182 when I was halfway up the sliproad and then I saw your plate. Shouldn't be wearing those shades really when driving - they do their job too well and I can't see diddly squat!
I still haven't got back to you regarding the next NW run (sorry) - I'll let you know as soon...
I did use Optimax for a while, though the Shell garages near me (at home) are all closing? Time for another lunch-time CS mini-meet at Samlesbury Shell garage, then! ;)

I've heard of a few people say to Sky 'go funk yourself' at their demands. If they continue, you'll switch to cable TV instead (even if you have no intention of doing). Of the people I've heard doing it - Sky is normally the one that backs down. Seems its a ball-ache to cancel the service...
Didn't think you headed up these 'ere parts? Too far North! ;)
Just been to Asda at Pilsworth - that traffic's a joke. It will be a long time before I go there after work again!

Right.
Being as calm and sedate as I can about the subject, I'd like to ask some generalisations about how a car insurance premium is calculated. I would appreciate any feedback from those people who work within the industry to add some comments on here. After all, we fork out shedloads of cash...
Very easy. One, they have no life. Two, the BIOS screen becomes their most intimate and closest friend. Three, they are immune from watching the 3DMark2006 benchtest for the 261st time. ;)

Yey! Some systems are actually coming with those PhysX cards installed. See, I told you they were a good idea! LOL.
Good to see that Alienware throws in THE best keyboard out there at the moment. The Logitech G15. Cool piece of kit...
You must live in a decent area, m8. Cheapest I got last year was £760 on the 182 - aged 30 at the time, driving 13 years, no points, no convictions and 11 years no claims. Most of the insurers laugh if I try and get onto Jain's Vee, let alone struggling with the 182. Going off the current farce...
With all due respect Neil, the postcode situation is a very poor indicator at best. We are the middle house of a row of 5 cottages on an unadopted highway. One side to us has lived there for 29 years, the other 16 years and neither have ever said that there's been a problem in the area. Out of...
Cheers for the feedback guys.
Addz - my point exactly!!! First time insurance is usually several times the value of the car!
Ads - I'll give A-Plan a go today - see how they fair. Cheers!
Pep's - her official job title is strategic partner manager, so in most cases, manager seems to fit the...
I've got the Logitech G15 Gaming keyboard - you can download a visual display applet from AMD for it. Cycles through to show you core usage, memory usage, etc. Cool piece of software. ;)
