Anyone tried Morrowind on the PC? Had it installed several times and just never got around to playing it properly! Supposed to be HUGE though - especially when you have the two expansion packs for it....

Go for the RBM move, m8. Usually any fighting game can be counter-acted with the Random Button Mash. Looks good (almost as if you know what you're doing) and combination of 48 ups, 27 lefts, back, back an X a few dozen times can pull of some decent character moves.
Used a fair bit on Tekken -...
Good tip there m8. I do know what you mean about GTR, but GTL feels more 'raw' than GTR. One trivial aspect with GTR that I don't like either is the 'armless' steering wheel being turned. Looks a bit daft!
Having said that, there's nothing like the speakers being cranked up and purposely...
LOL m8 - I know how you feel. I paid £24.99 for mine in the 'January Sales'. Obviously - there's an early January Sale and a late January Sale!
We'll definitely have to get and online game going at some point. Any CS member welcome....... apart from Lee as he sounds too good ;)

GTR is a great game, but I don't think the physics model is as good as that in GTL. Recovering from oversteer in GTR is nigh-on impossible - especially in long, sweeping bends...

Saw a racing blue 182, complete with stripes, southbound on the M66 around Junc. 2 at Bury. Would have been about 8.10am...
About 10 mins later, a burgandy red Valver (N-plate, I think) came from the opposite direction on Grane Road.
Anyone?

LOL m8 - it's a difficult game to crack, isn't it? Just when you think you've got the knack of driving one car with some degree of ability, you get enough cash to buy another - take it out on track and plough straight into the first tyre wall... ;)
Hats off to you for playing it with a pad...
That was always the unique side of the DoA series. Plenty of mad, girly Japanese dialogue that no-one had the foggiest idea what was being said - coupled to a disproportionate about of bouncing mamories.
Fair play to the Jap coders, if you ask me..... ;)

Laptop monitors are notoriously expensive to replace - often making up the single, most expensive part of the laptop itself.
£150 wouldn't surprise me, but to chuck money like that at a 5+ year-old laptop would be mad.
At least you've managed to copy and burn the stuff you were after though...
Is there anything you can 'realistically' do to overcome that, Matt? Especially as we are now heading to the warmer months?
I bet there's sod all room under the bonnet to even attempt cooling ducting....!

LOL - wireless shite strikes again. Have we really become that detached (not meant ironically) that we can no longer use controllers with wires???
Until controllers come with their own cold-fusion power supplies, I'll stick with as much wired technology as I can. I think the Marketing Men will...
Indeed Nafeun - give the girl some credit. The Trophy is tweaked for a focused driver - she's hardly likely to buy that particular Clio simply because it's 'red'. Needless to say, she probably could show you some driving ability when you get your 172.... ;)

Cupped-up and turned down that road between The Obervatory pub and KFC on the corner.
Would have been about 1.15pm today. Didn't catch the reg as I was coming up the hill from the other side...

An LCD screen may not have been the ideal test, to be truthful. Don't forget, that laptop is at least 5 years old. I think LCD screens had only just been released about that time, iirc?!
Do you know anyone else - with a standard PC monitor that you could try it on?

^^^^ - OMG.......
It's getting more Mac-i-fied by the day. NOOOOOOO Bill! What the hell are you doing, man?!
I WANT things to crash. I WANT to have hardware conflicts and issues. I DON'T WANT OSX wrapped up in an MS Box and stuck on my PC. :dapprove:

Karen - has it got an external VGA socket on the rear of the chassis? Should be a smallish blue 'V' shaped socket.
Assuming it's not your graphics card that's shot on the laptop - you should be able to plug in any PC monitor into that socket and view what should be your laptop screen on the...
Ah, could it be an nForce 2 chipset? The standard audio drivers that come as part of the nForce package work fine - even on the latest stuff. I think it's version 5.10 dating back to the tail-end of 2004.
However, they did release an additional audio update on nVidia's website for the nForce 2...
There's a great article in this month's Classic & Sports Car magazine about taking decent shots of cars. At the risk of blatant breach of copyright laws, etc, etc - I can scan them in and send Putfile links in, if anyone's interested??
