It wasn't 'grossly undersold' at all. People aren't keen because of reasons like this.. It's not very well organised, fairly expensive and people would rather pay more and do it properly.

Because the bumpers are cheap (read gay) they only ship with something else or you have to pay an extra charge for delivery. Just cancel the bumpers and you should still get it on 24th.

Plus you're only allowed two. Obviously people have multiple cards, but it helps them cut down on people buying them to sell.

They see it as if you don't have a debit card, you're unlikely to pass a credit check which was required for the original iPhone as you were supposed to set the contract up when you got home. Same for all the other iPhones. You can buy an iPad with cash now. Not sure what the situation will be...
