The one I did I got them a book but I got it from photobox, I made all the pages as their set up is shite but that wasn't that expensive at all. I'd like to think the £400 one is obviously a lot lot better but this was less than a tenth of that and still looks great I think. That was A3.

You want a couple of bodies. I did it with a Tamron 17-50 f2.8 and a Sigma 50-150mm f2.8 (which Ben lent me) and you'll probably need a flash although I didn't use one. Don't even consider doing it without fast glass and two bodies. If you're going to do it with a kit lens etc, you'd be better...

'Budget tyres' isn't really an excuse. Yes, there are better available but they're still perfectly safe and I'd say 70% of the population run budget tyres. It's not like you're rolling on slicks.

Photobox is far less automated than I expected it to be. They do seem to have a lot of errors but certainly no problems getting replacements.

Re: 3G ios 4 update, WTF? Do you still have your original 3G? You'll be able to get it back, might take a bit of effort but you'll do it. Have a look on YouTube for how to put it in DFU mode.

Re: Apple Advice... Your out of warranty item was working, you did something and it broke. What else do you expect them to do? Not everyones 3G is dead. You got a 3G for a good price.

No charges come in. You just get a slower speed once you're over the limit.

The reason you get it back with the same serial is because there isn't actually anything wrong with your phone. They just restore it properly and send it back.

Search for IPSW. Just press shift when as you press restore and you'll get the search box so you can locate the file. If 3.1.3 isn't on your computer, it's available in lots of places.

There won't be a new one. Apple have said they aren't going to update the iPad. Ever.

The issue isn't with the phone, it's with you updating it.
