DOnt bother with induction kits, waste of money imo. Go with a decent panel filter, inlet manifold matching and you should see a decent gain, oh and a decat. For remap get a custom remap not an off the shelf chip like superchips.
your comparing the cost of a new car to an old car with an engine conversion. Its only fair to compare cars of similar age, so lets say a ph1 172 and a corsa hybrid, well that would put the corsa at 2k more expensive, and a lesser car.
ah ok, sorry. As White16Valver said, try air filter first, then leads and dizzy cap. Also might be worth checking over your exhaust system, especially near the manifold as if its leaking that could cause problems.
Looks like I will be in need of some new brake pads soon, any recomendations as to what to go for? Want something better than OEM for 'fast' road use. Yes i know my car isnt the quickest but i drive it f**king hard

martin your car propbably only goes better becaquse its done oveer 100k miles, not because of your cold air feed setup. Not saying it makes no difference, but the mileage probably makes more difference

check your bearing when you change the the link, just turn the wheel slowly it should move smoothly, any non-smooth movement or grating sound and its your bearing. Also check for uneven tyre wear, because as I said your allignment will be out, also as your lowered 60mm, you might find that with...
