Griff - that's the clever bit of the game, m8. You can make it as easy or as difficult as you like. Want to win by peace, love and tree hugging. You can do it. Want to be a total military despot mad-b*****d. Fine.
There are loads of background options in the game - finance, politics, research...
All I can say is that if you're a fan of any of the previous three games - you need to get this. They've done a massive overhaul on the graphics engine (not that the screenies below prove that much) and the sound effects and music are fantastic.
The AI players are a lot more devious now and...
Can't even see mine...... :(
Forget parking it on the car-park. What with deliveries, reps and other scroats. My previous car had door panels resembling the Himalayas - the amount of knocks and dents it had on it.
Ppl don't give a s**t - especially if their's is a company car....

Clart - you've the same CPU & amount of memory as me m8. I went from a GeForce 4 Ti4600 up to the 9800 Pro and noticed quite a significant jump in performance. Mainly due to the 8x AGP bus support and support for DirectX9 though.
You may not notice much increase from say a 9600 card to a 9800...
Quality :)
Just a shame (by the sounds of it) that they haven't improved the damage model. Surely if consoles can recreate it well enough in their games (not forgetting the brilliant damage model in Colin McRae on the PC) then they could do it with this, too?
Either way - I want it!

Defo about the front splitter. My '54 plate came with it - Jain's '05 one didn't. The dealership tried to fob us off but they didn't have a leg to stand on and they fitted it a short time after...

AOL are pure quality. :)
They are the pinnicle of sh*te. In fact, no. They invented the word sh*te as an in-house meaning for their 'devotion' to customer service. Their CDs do make for excellent coasters though - and they are free, so there's no excuse for coffe-rings on your desk anymore...
Either that - or those V8 Supercar drivers in Australia. Cracking circuits - Bathurst, Surfer's Paradise, etc - with a fat fecker V8 up front....

Would that first one be me? I'm surprised you recognised the black gold. More like shite-gold at the moment. It needs a damn good wash. The alloys are actually two tone at the moment they are covered in that much crap. The actual alloy is darker than the plastic hub insert. :)

The same Amiga Pack that I got m8. I remember hearing intro music for the first time on F-18 Interceptor when I bought the 512k expansion board for it. Bloody £60 it cost as well...
Needed it to get Dungeon Master working - the lucky sods with the Atari STs could run it with 512k...
Almost forgot - Forbidden Forest by Cosmi and Daley Thompson's Decathlon by Ocean. The amount of joysticks I knackered as a kid by trying to complete the 1,500metres in the quickest time!

My m8 nearly went to the Betty Ford Clinic to stop his addiction to that! I never stuck it through with that. Still have it here on the PS1 somewhere....

That would be APB m8!
Wasteland was one of the most original RPG games of the late 80s.

Originally released on the Apple II, it came out on the C64 and the IBM PC. Set in a post-nuclear scenario of Nevada/New Mexico area - it was ground-breaking...
Guys - we're going off topic here - as much as I agree with the majority of what Rip3z says.
cbscup - removing all religion, ethnic bias etc from the conversation - the fact is that the Britain of today is a total joke. We reward the guilty and persecute the innocent - especially those acting...
Good responses guys. Nice to hear that there's some other BF freaks out there! :D
I'll be up for a BF1942/DC game if the majority don't want BF2. Prefs on maps are El Alamein, Wake Island and Tobruk.
Would be great to get CS members on one specific server!
