mike's right, i've been looking in to a 172 transplant for my car, and with mattblacks kit and fitting it, its gonna be £3000, if i sell my car and put £3000 towards it i can get a good ph1 172 for that
Whats needed to relocate the battery? and how do you go about it? I'm guessing you just need something in the boot to mount the battery on, a possitive feed from the front of the car to the boot, and connect the earth to an earthing point in the boot? if thats right whats the best route to...
the 2.0litre kit you are talking about is the one mattblack can provide, its for petrol models only. to convert a 1.5dci to a 2.0litre petrol would be silly amounts of work, including new fuel tank etc.
mine didnt, worked quite well a lot of the time, but occasionally would do what you described. It almost got me crushed by an arctic lorry, but we went go there because i'll start slagging someone off.
your right, but the goverment seem to think that past 21 you'll be more sensible. Personally i think ALL driving, bikes and cars, should be restricted by experience, not age.
Me: I'd like to order a rear washer jet for a 172 please
Dealer: Whats your car registration?
Me: Its R4** OVT, but its not a 172
Dealer: Well whats the registration of the car the part is for?
Me: Its for my car...
Dealer: But its not a 172?
Me: I know its not, but thats the part I need...
the reason you have it on bikes and not on cars is because if you do have an accident on a bike, no matter how small, you are more likely to end up with some kind of injury. In a car you are much better protected, so unless you drive like a t**t you arent going to get yourself killed.
Do what i did, get an O2 XDAIIi for £50 from O2, rip off a copy of tomtom 3, buy a car cradle with gps reciever, around £80, download Camera POI and hey presto, tomtom3 for £130
if u like the sound, dont worry about it. from what i can tell it doesnt matter what exhaust you have it's always boomy in the back. i've gone from back box only to catback and decat, on 3 separate occasions, all sounded different but all where Boomy in the back
