Mr front eibach pro's where fitted yesterday - rears are going on sunday - and I'm amazed how much its dropped by! I have a mk2 ph1 on 15's and the ride height at the front is perfect. Arches are just above the wheels. I'll get some pics up later if I get chance.
As for performance...
dink i promise you they can make a huge difference. yes its not worth it in a car, but if you've spent, say £5000 on a cd player, a £50 interconnect is just going to strangle the sound.
those of you that think you can make good quality interconnects at home are just wrong. i cant be arsed to go through all the various arguments, but will just say if you listened to them in a blind test YOU WOULD hear the difference
was £270 when i got there! not happy. does look a bit weird at the moment, has lowered it quite a bit at the front! does feel much better, jus need the rear springs fitting now!
fronts are, rears are going on sunday, they wanted another £40 to fit the rears. i looked into getting fred to do all the suspension and doin the bulbs myself, but by the time i've had retested i wouldn't of saved much.
2 new front shocks, swap over front springs - i provided springs they needed doing as 1 broken - replace 4 week old droplink because it broke again, replace couple of Bulbs.
Mate I HAVE RUN blind listening tests on systems from a few hundred pounds upto £100,000 conclusion was 98% of people listed cables in price order, 2% listed them slightly wrong.
if its got to that stage yes, but pretty sure you would have noticed before it got that bad. I'm going with a hole in the exhaust, either in the cat or before it
Your just wrong, they benefit of these 'fancy cables' is more then apparent if you try them in a blind listening test, and you most definately cant make them for a couple of quid at home.
As for amping, a seperate amp is NOT just to make it louder, a more powerfull/better quality amp will have...
Jsut a quick lesson for you all, building any system should follow a certain structure, this structure is as fllows:-
Best Source - Head unit in this case
Good Amp
Speakers
Cabling
so if you had a £1000 punds to spend on a system, and you just wanted front components and a sub, my budgets...
