1. Will phase2 16v light clusters go straight onto my phase1 16v?
-YES
2. Will the phase2 grill bit (single bar) swap straight over with my phase1 grill (double bar)
-Dunno, some say it will, some say it wont
3. How easy are the plastic strips under the headlights to remove and body...
switch to 195s.....best solution.
But your rears will take ages to wear out!!! so you might go through another set of fronts before the rears are done.....
it will make the car understeer more as we all know a car steers (dynamically) through the rears.
So:
A-you can either fit he...
OH!
and looking at the new lagina 2ltr, it has the same engine, ill get the block No and whatever, but looking at it int he shoroom, its got the same head casting, dunno about internals, but its got the same VVt aswell. Just a diff set of manifold and injection system visable from the outside...
ok, Joe,
im gonna do my RR run some time this week hopefully with all the mods etc etc...
But whilst im there, ill take a run with VVt on and VVt off to see if the power curve is different in any manner....sound ok?
yes, BUT...once your out of 1st gear, your not gonna be dropping below 5k rpm, so low end torque would not be neened as air speed would be high enough to work with the high overlap.
as with the later actvation, the Vtec system does this. But the F4R lump doesnt need to.
well, the stuff is correct, as dave is one of my idols and i have had a few chats with him at CCC action days.
anyway, from capts tests, t shoes that the VVt makes no diff to 1/4 mile times at all.....hes trying to figure out why its there at the mo....unles he has found out why already...
yes, but increased overlap works at high rpm as the velocity of the air keeps pushing itself into the cylinder even on the compression stroke. @ low rpm, the mxture just excapes out the exhaust valve.
Caprt has done tests and VVT on is the same as VVt off.
and the whole point of VVT is so...

yeah, volumetric efficiency.
haha, 300% more...were talking serious stuff then haha!
i have no idea on figures!
but 300% more air, 300% more fuel.....to keep the same ratio.
but then i suppose capt will tell us that there are other factors..
im also wating for him to tell us about...

mate, it came out bad.....haha, wasnt throwing an insult!
but i guess you could define a fast road cam as that.
But there is much more to a cam then duration. Lift, ramp, symmetry and LCA (Lobe Centre angle- the angle between the inlet and exhaust lobe).
basically, the search for power...

although scoobies look better.....an evo is probably the easiest to get to the 400bhp mark....on the boxer engine, its almost financially impossible!!!
"which means the VVT in the 172 is setup for that cam"....
haha mate..sorry but..well duh
you got to remember that the cam in the 172 is basically already a fast road cam.
