    Exactly, hot hatch ownership is resonably expensive but i would let £70 put me off for pound for pound performance, Road tax is only a drop in the ocean of car ownership

    Bought mine for £3750 5 months ago, one owner from new with FSH and 44k on the clock, very minor stone chips as expected. Should get a good one for 3k although your about to get the usual "spend a bit more and buy" a cup etc etc, zzzzzzzz...!

    Yes! But it should be far more economical than 30mpg when hes not ragging it. I had a Saxo VTS before the 172 and it would see 34mpg at very worst.

    This lads bang on mate, i drive all different kind of roads and over the entire 5 months ive owned my Ph1 ive averaged 31mpg. Im not saying its not possible to get over and above but for a prolonged period you can forget it. Whys your Lupo only geting 30? Thats shocking for a 1600cc
