well, it should only really happen on overrun when your not on the throttle. if there are bangs etc when you at full throttle then its mis-firering! get it sorted!

my engine is a bit more primative than yours though! mines about 40yrs only in principal design and running gas in it means its not all perfect......and the manifold design means uneven distribution, 1&4 running leaner than 2&3 so i the supers started to play up....and i just dont wannabe...

The popping/crackling sound isnt down to the unburnt fuel its just the noise you get from an engine with NO silencer on it!! The Big BANGS are the unburnt fuel!! its this which collects in the system, usually around the baffles. anyway, you may find that a tunned 4-2-1 manifold actuaaly...

why not.....i like loud. but the police can issue with some thing (forgot what it called, apart from a peice of paper) which says you have to get the car noise tested. but since its basically impossible to get a reliable reading due to conditions and the surroundings.....and most garages dont...

in the engine bay!!! pretty much impossible. and it will handle like poo. If the V6 is from a FWD car then easy. cut the floor out the rear of the car offer up engine and running gearso they locte where the hubs would sit (might be a good idea to build evrything onto a subframe first)...
