you can have re-mapped using uni-chip or smt though cant you? you just cant re-write the existing chip.

the tester can fail it on that, its to do with how much louder it is over standard, there are no guidelines fopr how much louder its allowed to be though.

as a temp fix, unclip the sensors, and they will then quiote easily come apart, then put them back together with the sensor facing in. Did it recently to stop my alaram going off.

its actually a tiny little surface mount led, not to hard to do as long as you can use a soldering iron
