Id put it up at 7k ono and not take anything below £6675 at the very worst...
The cars barley been broke in ffs!
Again not the best time to be parting with a car with not the greatest economy around. Hard times are upon us!
+++1
Easily i hate to say it again but ever rising fuel costs, mortgage fixed rates coming to an end, food bills going skyward, everyones disposable income is becoming not so disposable anymore.
Who really wants a car capable of 30-34 mpg?
Apart from all of us i mean lol
Good luck in...
Im gonna get stuck into it tomorrow, what the exhaust tech guy said it could be a spark plug problem (the camblet and tensioners along with a service was done less than 3 months ago so the spark plugs seems non viable)
Surley if there was a problem with hos work it should have developed long...
Id put it up for £6450 ovno
I think you might struggle to sell it atall at the moment unless its dirt cheap, the market is awash with 182's at the moment.
Right ive taken it to a local exhaust specialist and it turns out that it isnt the exhaust atall causing the problem, turns out the car is firing on 3 cylinders, it could possibly be Spark plugs, HT leads or a coil pack.
Not good whatever it is!
This isnt good, i thought it was the exhaust but the engine management light came on...!
I think its a coil pack and/or spark plug! Anyone recommend anywhere ill get these 2 things cheap.
Phoned Euro Car parts the coil pack is £32 and the spark plugs are less that £3. Is this cheap????:mad...
I dont understand the point in you moaning about people not liking your "mod" id imagine the reason you put pictures up of you spraying the dci badges was to attract diffrent comments from other members, which you have, and some like it and some dont (me)...
If you dont want people ridiculling...
Theres a hole in the exhaust just beyond the back box, i can see exhaust gas expelling from the hole.
Does anyone know if this could cause a loss in power as the car seems to be struggling to go smoothly (i.e its stuttering along)
Will a seem weld fix the problem temporarily whilst i get some...
5 years or 72,000 miles whichever is soonest...
Also if the car is nearly 10 years old it should be requiring (or had) the second timing belt done regardless of mileage.
welcome btw
Call me cynical but if you know remotley anything about cars your attention might be drawn to the fact that the car is noticeable wider, has 18" wheels a rear diffuser a rs grill, rear discs etc etc bla bla...?
Yep id definatley fall for it
From what you would save on fixing the Clio and spending on the Astra to look good you could insure the Civic, as you know the build quality is second to none. Why do you say its expensive to insure? You can get a 1997 Civic VTi for £3000-£4000 (it would be minted at this price)
10 year old...
As said above mate, take the valver if you have deep pockets, the problem with renaults is that if they suffer any kind of neglect then they suffer big time.
As for the astra thats a diffrent car all together, that coupled with the fact that the Astra is far more likley to draw you attention...
