This has got me wondering. What badges does my R27 have then as standard? I've totally never even noticed you know

the standard ones are, i believe, metal, and say renaultsport and are silver. imo sthey look naff in silver on a white car that has black side strips so i am painting these ones black gold. dependin on wholes these go there will be mor black gold touches

Lacquered the badges up last night but the finish isnt the greatest, I figure they need wet flatting and then a decent polish.

Never seen that Filling Primer in my Local Halfords and really need some as I have a few Scratches in Parts that I want to spray and obvioulsy want to get a smooth Finish.

Its good stuff tbh! Got a really nice finish with it. I think maybe I jsut put the lacquer on too thick which is why my finish is a bit naff now. Nothing that cant be saved though

Black gold is looking much better now the lacquer is on to!

Call me cynical but if you know remotley anything about cars your attention might be drawn to the fact that the car is noticeable wider, has 18" wheels a rear diffuser a rs grill, rear discs etc etc bla bla...?

If you mean the user name it was the most random thing I could think of when i first setup my orginal MSN account and its stayed with me for other things since. Though this is the only one with that name still in use iirc.

Its a bit of a joke tbh. I was looking for just the plain badges but got offered these and thought it would be funny to have dCi badges on the 197, badging it down to take the piss out of those people who badge theire dCi's and 1.2's etc up as Renault Sports.

Also some unsuspecting chav will think it really is a dCi lol

If folk dont get the joke, they dont get the joke. I am happy with them, they are looking really good and IMO will look better than the silver badges that come on the car which I have already said I dont want to paint.

I dont understand the point in you moaning about people not liking your "mod" id imagine the reason you put pictures up of you spraying the dci badges was to attract diffrent comments from other members, which you have, and some like it and some dont (me)...

If you dont want people ridiculling your mods then why are you posting a "how to" on spraying badges?

Suppose I should make clear that I dont really care what people think of the mod and that I am just surprised at the amount of hate. Especially considering a lot of people did it on 1*2s, though I can see the argument that they looked far more like a 1.2 than the 197 does.

Finally finished these off. Not the best finish but I'm happy with them. Lettering is Capsicum red. More to follow at some point in the future, have to keep myself entertained somehow untill october!
