I just had tensioners,cambelt and aux done, also a service for good measure and it came in at £550 (this was a very good deal imo), from arnold clark they wanted £800 and the car for 2 days
If its pace your after then its got to be the VTS theres not many other n/a 1600cc's out there that will get near it.
Dont be tempted to buy a VTR there utter pish...
I had a 03' VTS and it was terrible for petrol when you gunned it, dont expect much more than 300miles to a tank :o
I wouldnt say its because theres discounts to be had i just think its cause supply is by far out-stripping demand and the economy cant cope, and as the fuel price rises the desire for a "hot-hatch" is lets say lessened:o
Very good point on the VTS although same again on the insurance front, i sold my Saxo for the 172 and whilst im delighted with the 172, i still laugh when i think back to the days when people used to call it slow.
