Well it's sold but i'm sure the new owner will use it to it's full potential!
Already heard it's pulled away from his mates 370hp evo and wasted a tuned R34 Skyline like it was stood still!
SMT6 Piggyback "ECU"
IMO get it removed ASAP, you'll have to sort the wiring out to get it running on the stock ECU fully, chances are the car might have cams and has been mapped on the SMT6.
We can do a Kevlar clutch but the flywheel needs to be perfect or reground. The take torque no problem and feel just like oe. The downside is that if you are really harsh with the clutch all the time they will eat the flywheel
No because they would melt! The injectors are pretty much near 100% stock! You can push 25hp BUT it's much earlier in the revs as you need to pull back boost higher up to overcome the tiny injectors. I'd make sure you go somewhere for a dyno run with AFR's and log injector duty before and after...
It's a waste of a good car. It should be sat on track all day every day!
I will be so gutted to see it go. If I don't get any decent offers I can see it ending up loving at home just to give us more room!
Mapping them makes the drive much better especially low down the rev range. I have done 3 cars over the past week and all 3 made a good improvment and peak gains between 6hp and 10hp, all with an extra 10lbft nearly all over the rev range! Also had a shock with one of them as it made 195 TOTALLY...
We'll find out very soon. Like I say it now has 100hp more and one less gearchange as he changed the box. Previous road legal time is 10.7 on treads!
Scoff's car is very quick too, I had it on the Dyno a couple of times before he ran his personal best.
It was much less power in that vid. It should be very interesting on the track now i think :). It already is the fastest road legal FWD car in this country!
I have a brand new one on the shelf. Very different to the 1x2. I was going to use this on the Megane but changed my mind so if you need one this one is available!
This is what it should be like, from the other week:

:)
The car needs some new lifters now as it's tapping it's ass off and the valves are not doing what they should!
Cams and solid lifters FTW :)
I think most people are missing the point, you pay to have the 1x2's mapped and the actual % gain compared to a 1.2 is tiny!
You can feel a good difference from mapping these BUT it needs to be done on the dyno otherwise you could end up losing power.
Some new dyno graphs here :)

I bottled it at 7700rpm as the engine has only done about 200 miles, it's not been mapped again to suit the higher compression (old...
