bhp from a 197

can any1 tell me what kinda mods would be the best value for money and the best for lifting the bhp from my 197 totally lost in this one done want to spend a fortune on pointless mods

Best advice is to not bother. Not cheap to get any genuine power from them, certainly not enough for it to be a noticeable improvement.
Buy a turbo if that's your game, Renault na engines are not great in that respect.

As above the 2.0l is not that tunable. But it's fast enough as it is.

yea i kno its fast enough just fancied seeing if it could be tweeked a little bit more.

Possibly a remap might make the power alittle smoother?

Mapping them makes the drive much better especially low down the rev range. I have done 3 cars over the past week and all 3 made a good improvment and peak gains between 6hp and 10hp, all with an extra 10lbft nearly all over the rev range! Also had a shock with one of them as it made 195 TOTALLY standard and 201 tuned! It is the most powerful 197 i have ever seen on our dyno!

Just take your 197 down to the RR that EVO used. Tada 205bhp!
