i recently bought a set of yokohama A539s (the new criss kross design) for the paltry sum of 98 quid from top gear, the 106 quid included delivery. Anyway, after running a few heat cycles through them, i can say that they grip like buggery!!!!!! alot more than my pirelli P500s which are also...
i think you might have to change the rear axle, but if you measure the two drum brakes bolts positions and distance apart, then the corresponding ones on disc calipers then see if their the same, they should just bolt on. But youll need a compensator valve or you will be locking your rears all...
well, the only way we could effectively set up the coilovers would be to go to castle coombe and take lap times..but then, that setting would only be useful for castle coombe. I have a fair bit of experience with suspension settings and i mostly had to del with it myself as i couldnt communicate...
easy peasy......and just use a large adjustable set of those huge pliers to push the piston back into the caliper. Just make sure its flat, mise now warped and sqeeks when going left and slowly.
altopower by Van Aaken...its meant to be pretty good, and released 8bhp n their test car.....so they say, but its cheap and worth a go...got a feeling though if you hammer it along the motorway alot, then maybe your battery will suffer here.
i did my entire front bumper in halfords stuff, and was well impressed, top quality and easy to use, just take your time, and do it well......i rubbed mine down with fine grade wet&dry, it wont leave scratches that need filling!??
make sure that the piping is of quite a large bore, or your engine will be trying very hard to breath. No hioles, that kinda ruins the point of a sealed box.....the long steep pipes from the bumper will make it hard for water to get in, unless you go under water!
well, this is always a hard ques. If you have, say a 10 lbs bottle, with a 50bhp shoot and progressive controller, and u use it almost all the time, not long. But with frequent use, you can make it last a good week, racing the odd dumbass from the lights.
you can get 15 or even 20 lbs bottles...
well, on a small motor it ont make much difference. Is cheapest and it keeps the engine sucking in cold air from outside. Most induction kits where the cone filter is outside dont really work too well. By smoothing the inside of the airbox (i.e. cutting and usung sand paper to remove mouldings)...
i bought a set of 16V discs and calipers off a breakers yard and they bol straight on. Increase braking 100% with the mintex pads and group n rally discs i use.....its really easy to do. But one thing is that pedal travel will increase as the master cylinder is a bit smaller. i bought a 16V...
ill give him a ring tomorrow, but i have also emailed the renault sport division in france.
will be cool to see what a 172 could theoretically could make.
NOS (actually a US nitros company), is N20. When injected it breaked down under the engines heat to create nitrogen and oxygen. This has the same effect as having a better flowing head as more air can get in. This allows you to increase the amount of fuel to be burnt with the increased mass of...
coileover will only be good, if you know how to set them up. Normal adjustables like konis will be more than good for the road. Coilovers when used for the road are just for clearance and slamming. I doubt the average person could tune the coilovers to their best at the limit. I wouldnt bother...
MAN-CHUNepends on what you want really, if were getting one, i wouldnt bother with either. Dont like quite, and dont like magnex, there way too common, and boring. Unless you get the new magnex which has the huge jap style(4") slash cut pipe, or maybe buy a top gear exhaust and fabricate a...
ive always liked that style of wheel. Keeping with the jap racing theme. I say go for it, nice and different, but maybe in a gun meatal, or charcoal etc.
Well, you probably more in the know talking to them.
But look at the specs here, and the wheels specs at the bottom of the page. you will need to click on the link to The Car.

the only ral place for huge wheels in on a car that can use them. I have seen porsches at my dad garage on 18s and 19s, and a GT1 on 20s!!! and they just look stupidly large!!!! i mean, the front tyre on teh GT! was larger than a rear on a 996 turbo!
well, i tried to answer this ques in the RSC forum. the link is his question, and the next is my reply....hope it helps a bit.
