i am thinking of gettin yokos, what are they like?
i got my super Ls and pirelli P5000s for a tiny 390 quid, but thats cause i got help from my brother in law who works in the trade.
next to teh rear bumper there is a lip you might want to knock flat with a hammer and dolly as this can rip your tyres apart really fast!!
Also, anybody got some oldis michelin SX GTs they would want to give me if i can get you some cheap pirellis!
or any other 195/50/15 tyres!?
yeah, the old espaces used to have a air intake below the engine and they esed to blow every time it rained! but, its pretty hard to suck up water unless the entire intake is covered or under water.
if your using the ram air principle, then it will only work at speed. and you will need a pressurised/sealed airbox in which the filter is contained. if the filter is outside this box, then it wont work.
but good luck, i too am creating one from samco hoses and a naca duct.
top speed will be affected, but how many times do yo get up to 140mph? it will get there, just take longer. Id rahter acceleratre faster. And the lower unsprung weight means that the car will handle better.
dont forget, if the induction system is too long you WILL loose torque and the engine will take ages to pickup.....When you plant the throttle, the engine will have to move the entire contents of the induction system as a whole.
effectively yes, higher rpm will mean more power compared to that produced at 4000rpm. However, it does it in such an inefficient way. with the rev limit up there, i suspect you priobably getting valve bounce and will need stronger valve springs to take advantage of it. If you really want all...
hmmmm, 210 quid is alot. i got my spinrgs fitted and torsion bars adjusted for 140quid. And fitting the rears is easy on the 172, so are the fronts, if you have a spring compressor.
the super Ts are about twice as heavy as the super Ls in 17" form. I have seen some 15" super Ls on a black clio and nothing has looked so mean!
And with it being so hot in Oz, intake temps would be up, reducing power and hot roads mean less traction. the official 6.8 sec was probably done in...
well, i got 7" wide wheels, and my 195/50/r15 p5000s fit on, but i wouldnt reccomend (neither do the manufacturers) going too wide as it kida defeats what the side walls of the tyres were designed to do. If you put them on say a 8" wide wheels instead of the 6" there designed to go on. The angle...
well, his engine is running off the 1.8 SPI system off the laguna. So i am hoping to use samco hoses that lead from the throttle body to the front eft wheel arch. If you look down there then you will see a hol which makes the area behind the front left fog accessable to put a sealed air filter...
the tyres are 195/50/15which means that the largest you would want to go is a 7" wide wheel. Stick with 6 or 6.5. I got my superleggeras for 390 quid including pirelli p5000s and fitting/balancing. But its cause my bro in law works for pirelli, so i have no idea about cost.
you can swap your...
stiil, there wouldnt be enough surface area to successfully do that inbetweena join. The only reason it worked on the golf is cause it has a huge airbox. try the green filter twister as it is huge and can be made as part of a sealed system.
you wouldnt ned a filter if we didnt have to drve behind other cars, its to prevent the stuff cars in front throw up at us. My friend got a away with a t-shirt in his golf for ages! till i bought him a filter cause hes such a cheapo.
Told you!
it does have a single throttle body and the inlet is restricted to 60mm. Originally you had the choice of one throttle body per cylinder by restricted to 40mm, or the single inlet retricted to 60mm. Citroens saxo was the only team to use the 4x40mm throttle bodies and subsequently...
James G, where are you from?
i am having a side exit zorst made up so it will be super loud, and have bought darrens engine. SO hopefully it shoud really shift, also making a custom intake system, which i might make for other RT is i can generate interest.
people, i know its all up to your personal choice, so nobody can really tell you what is best. Me, i like a well driven car, i dont really care about looks since im in the car mostly and cant see it. I got 15" super Ls and i think they look best in gun metal, and the brake dust dont show up as...
just read all this talk about the cams etc on the F4R. And from what i know, i agree with most [people you dont want to touch the original cams. Its not that they are radical, but, changing duration, would mean changing the amount of overlap you would experience when the cams are activated. Head...
the best!
had some decent conversations with some people, cant remember, somebody on this site. And the best choices are either the mintex 1144 or the ferodo ds2000 pads. nothing else will do, but i think pagid are ok, work better at higher temps thogh. never buy, black diamond, tarox, red dot...
thatsmore than plenty. you could get the megane blocked engine, with T/bodies or maybe webber alpha kit. Will have less power than the willy lump, well, its more of a bored/stroked 1.8 block, but there thesame anyway. The 1.4 135BHP RT engine cost darren 3000 odd quid i think. But 5 grand is...
