steelys are cool man, i was gonna get 15" weller steelys and wrap them in sticky cut slicks, because there lighter than alloys!!!and look dead cool on a stripped out racer!
you can ket a full kit for cheap. I initially used monroe gas dampers with -55mm pi springs, and they were fab, just as good as the konis i got now. probably get away with the whole kit for 200 quid
looked at it, the rt engine and 5 gtt is totally diferent. You will need a new, well used gtt engine then slap that in along with the loom, new moutns, box etc!
yeah, they are real good. But if you ant the absolute best, then H&R is your brand. They are the best!!!
but there are others who specialise in making stuf for renault whic is just as good, almost. Or there os Leda, which is top notch racing equipment!! leda if you want the most exclusive, best...
yeah linton, ill have alook. But what about other brands. i saw that avo coilovers are only 500 or something for the clio 16V. so whouldnt be much more i think. I will check bilstein and other ok
would be a b*****d to fit!!!!!
exhasut headers on a 172 are much larger, and the VVT would require the entire wirering loom, ecu, and the drive shafts/gearbox will need to be the 172 ones too...hard work, put it in theback, its easier. just cut the front off a 172, including turrets and...
from demon tweeks you can get bake cooling ducts which you can use in place of the fog lights, and pipe them right up to an airbox which goes around the throttle body... or you could use the standar airbox, mod it to fit only one cool air pipe which goes to the coling duct......simple. Or you...
jeeseey creeseey!!
sorry to say it linton but apex are a bit of a budget brand over here, are you sure you didnt get ripped off. If you want i can get some cool konis or bilstiens or avo coilovers then bring them back this summer?
and probably for the same price
yeah, i got my letter published in CCC this month on the very same subject. But on a road car, lowering wont make much of a difference, because the isnt any advanced aerodynamics on the rest of the car.
But your right about the rear of the hatch. Hatches are actually more aerodynamic than most...
no, the side exit is just for me, but the clio system will exit out the back like normal. But the advantge is the manrel bends they use. It speeds up exhaust gas round the inside of bends in the exhaust system, resulting in less back pressure and a freeer (?) flowing exhaust.
prima are rebadged Pi springs, eibach are good but progressively wound, dont get apex as their budget. Ket either bilstei or H&R. H&R are the best wuality in the world, and they supply porsche etc. Def H&R
ramair have had the best results as they supply the german DTM cars with filters. and they run hooge V8s
get a ram air panel filter, and the eibachs and a cat pipe....sorted!
if you wait for just a short while, k-tec racing are developing a very good system. I am getting a side exit zorst off them, real noisy!
but the goo part is they are stainless and are mandrel bent which is better than what any other manufaturer use.
I THINK THY ARE COOL, HINT at potential performance and look mad. But the sparkplug in the backbox, i know this is how they do it, but i thought it would steal energy from your coil, and will the gasses be rich enough to catch fire?
i dont know anything about alarms, but think i need one, as scum is all around today. I was wondering if anybody could give me an idea on what to get. I would really like a normal alarm without too many feature but still have remote startup. Is this possible.....and how expansive is it going to be?
but headwork and timing cams is an artform. Hill power can, if they do, charge more becasue thay have tons of experience with it. If you went to a random garge the didnt specialise in renaults, they wouldnt know how much to remove and what sort of finish to put in the ports. Hill power knows...
if the carbs are direct to head like the throttle bodies would be, then there should be enough space to run them with no trumpets. You could fashion up an airbox out of fibreglass and got a copy in carbon, then you wouldnt need trumpets and the cold air feed could be attatched.
brakes are up...
the 1.4 engine is the worlds most simple engine and can benifit from mods big stylee. I shouild be soon buying darrens motor off him and strapping on a full race system w/side exit to cut out the over rear axle bit, and tubular manifold. Darren has got a 1.8 lagina injection sytem on his (the...
