Yeah that'll be the old man @Coops Mk1 .................................................................................get ready for 11 million photos posted here now
Top tip for you, when the car tells you the oil is empty it simply means the level has dropped below the minimum on the dipstick & it's only about 1 litre that you'd need to put in at most to fill it up ;)
I'm a bit out of date with current scrap prices but when I got £500 for my ph2 cat last year the ph1's were going for about £150-250 as were the 182 cats.
I'd disagree somewhat with your point about them not discriminating because it's possible to check the scrap values of cats fitted to certain...
It's the ph2 cats that are worth the silly money but are pretty safe from being nicked because of how difficult they are to get at to remove.
You'll be wasting time, money & effort doing that though, especially if the cat fails (which they eventually do with age) so you'll eventually end up...
Depends if you want them for looks or performance. The pic isn't very good but they look like they're the same Brembo calipers from the Peugeot 406 V6 which a lot of people have fitted over the years, you'll find that the pedal travel will increase with them unless you change to a different...
Best I can tell you is that the part number for the discs is correct but finding them is a monumental ballache.
It's because of the ABS rings that it has to be that part number but I vaguely remember @MicKPM saying something about the ABS rings being available from somewhere and fitting them to...
Just from the pictures it just doesn't look right to me, I don't trust the look of the dimensions & fitment to be correct. Bit difficult to say without actually having 1 to see next to the original though. In nearly 18 years of dicking about with Mk1's this is the 1st time I've ever actually...
Don't cheap out on the tensioner pulley as the cheap ones are crap and the good ones are ridiculously expensive, this is the cheapest good quality brand one I've managed to find after a quick look...
They're specific to phase 1 Valver & Williams only, the non wide arch ph1 Clio items are a different size & don't fit so more like unicorn poop encrusted with hens teeth :ROFLMAO:
This website is going to be your new favourite thing ;):ROFLMAO:

They sell replacement injector plugs amongst many other things, I've bought loads of stuff from them for my Williams restoration and I can't recommend them highly enough
2.5 turns in a Mk1 was once only reserved for the rich boys going racing & having the rack custom made, praise the lord for the guy that figured out you could do it with a Mk2 dci rack instead :ROFLMAO:
It's not an issue for MOT unless parts of it are broken, lots of people have upgraded their Clio's by removing the power steering so it's not something to be bothered about.
I took the manual steering bits from a car that was probably identical to yours, fitted them to the car in my profile pic...
Bit of a minefield this 1 is, depends what phase car yours is and what ecu you've got because the wiring differs slightly between them.
As a rule of thumb, the IR sensor itself isn't paired up to the key (it's the bits after the sensor that are apparently coded together) so you should be able...
