Ktec stealth fitted great on mine no problems st all. And it's only boomy if you hold it at very low revs or go anywhere in the region of 70mph+. If you do lots of motorway miles steer clear it would do my head in but for town and b road blasts I love it, especially with decay and no mid-section
Declare everything in great detail, at the end of the day insurance companies want your money but don't want to payout so they will find an excuse not to. I even told my insurance company my wing mirror covers and all badges were red with stickers on and not the normal titanium colour
I bought a new set when I fitted my coilovers, £48 If I remember rightly plus a few quid for the bearings that you need not sure why Renault sell them seperatly when you need both bits to replace the unit.
Easy too fit as well just front wheel off 2 bolts near break caliper and top mount bolt...
I followed a st the other day in my phase 1 and it absolutely raped me in a straight line, with coilovers though I was quicker round the twistys, 2 totally different cars to be honed but you would have plenty of fun in both
momo boss kit from ktec £55 (last time i looked)
http://www.rallydesign.co.uk/product_info.php?cPath=82_1887_1896_1898&products_id=13924 this steering wheel job done lol loads of pics in a thread somewhere as well
The omp toe eye fits on the phase 1 as long as you drill the hole slightly larger, (avoiding the aircon pipe I think it is.) and there is just enough space for a spanner to fit if you jack the car up as I have both a strap and toe eye I interchange between
the cats are the same length on the 172 be it a phase 1 or a phase 2 the difference in the exhausts is the length of the middle section.but you just need to wiggle it back or forth and t it will fit.
love this steering wheel and ive nearly got the pennies to buy on only thing that bothers me is there wear rate, within 9 months they seem to look a bit crap.
whatever you do dont get a phase 1 172 if you want a phase 2. it would be a pig of a job to swop the front ends over and if anything probably more money to get the phase 1 then buy all the phase 2 parts you need and fit them, than just buy a phase 2 172
Ouch!! I did this last year but some how hit the kerb hard enough to bend one of the bolts holding the break calipers in place and cracking a wheel. Hopefully the weather will be ok over next 3 days as I got alot of driving to do to central London
Love it during the spring and summer but it annoys the piss out of me in the winter stupid snow and ice and instead Of a hot hatch that's blastic down a b road, it turns into a rattley loud uncomfortable French tin cab lol
Looks really good that same as my phase 1 except I'm saving my pennies for tyres for the oz f1's sitting In my shed lol you could always paint the rear exhaust part that shows black did it on my old car and although it's still there you won't see it as much or be drawn into seeing it
