Long stroke mean a cap on revs to 8k really but that's not the point. The point was that they are hard to tune vs xe or ztec etc but that's not the case. A 240bhp engine would have to use the same spec parts so don't see its cheeper than an F4. Infact a Zetec head is crap and may need more work...
anyone really just don't think f4r is hard to tune, in fact I think it's easy now and 240 ish motor would be the same price. Just more options with xe's etc.
I have a 237bhp road f4r and a bit more in a rally one. Interesting thing is that it takes a lot of revs to get the peak bhp and torque is quiet low for the spec. With itbs you would get more torque as the rs 2 seams to produce lower torque figures than itbs so needs lots of revs to get 230 and...
You need the cup / later arms with more caster. Quick search will give you the number or get the pure Motorsport ones that use the correct wishbone plus fit rosé joints like their rear beam kit.
What width is this one and others use as some are very narrow. With itbs you can go wider than standard to more
Than compensate for the lack of height.
What's your thought experience with coil packs? Was told the clio one is quite a weak spark and needs the precious metal plugs to run right as a result.
i have ones of these from the pink car engine, was wondering why not to use it as I was told it delivers a stronger spark and more reliable.

Really interesting Ian G's car and the PMS engine follow nearly the same line until 6kish. Guess the use of wilder cams and solid lifters would be the reason more so than the manifold as that was for low down so the 182 manifold seems to do a good job concidering is doesnt have an 8 injector set...
Chip thanks for the offer, what i need is the difference in angle (guessing height and offset will be near as damn it) of the head F4R vs F7R. F4 looks square to the centerline of the engine where the F7 looks angled. With this i will just weld on the flange at this new angle. If you get my drift.
