measured today the front ride height (from ground to top of the wheel arch) and it was 63 cm. it looked like the gap between the wheel and the arch was quite large so I took the measure.
Can a fellow 182 ff/cup owner take a measure and light me up? car is on stock suspension(only k-tec solid...
my 182 ff sits higher at the front (about 1-2 cm) than a friend's 172. Also higher than a RB 182 ff I've checked recently.. Don't have a clue why because all three cars are stock (mine has new dampers all round)
they have been ordered at the dealer and the car fixed at the same location. could the lower arms be the ones of a non cup 182 maybe? would they fit? I know the ball joint has different holes and maybe different size?
edit: the hubs remained intact after the crash so they are the cup ones with...
no the friends have stock cars(without the camber bolts, i've checked ;) ). viewed directly from behind you can see how the front camber is different in my car
Had an accident last may, the front left corner was damaged, was pretty expensive to fix but done it eventually..
changed the front shocks, both lower arms (bushes and ball joints included of course), new anti roll bar with poly bushes (all 4), new subframe, k-tec solid top mounts etc...
I have the k-tec mounts (dogbone poly bushes also) and if I can live with them then anyone can :D That's because my idle is all over the place. Fortunately I'm not doing too much urban mileage so the vibrating steering wheel and the free back massage are acceptable ;)
bottom end: the car feels...
A friend of mine has an 182 FF, 45 k on the clock and for some 6k miles the engine cuts down at idle speed.
He changed the injectors, throttle body, lambda sensor, but the renault garage did not managed to fix this issue. the car is driving normally but the idle is unstable and occasionally cuts...
today started the car and the left xenon was pointing at around 5-7 meters in front of the car.. the left headlight is new btw and can't figure how come yesterday the beam was ok and now it's not.
and I'm still not sure how the height adjustment works in a mk2 clio, because in a meggy 225 you...
check the driveshafts. if they're ok then probably the mounts or one of them is gone.
I have the k-tec solid ones plus powerflex dog bone bushes and there is absolutely no knocking (before that I had massive knocking under acceleration in 1st gear).you'll just have to put up with the extra...
as above, grey anthracite stripes on a arctic blue 182 (cup packed)
what do you think? are they going to match the blue and the wheels? (the std cup ones that is)
thx!
if you put it that way it sounds good! but the fear of blowing the gearbox is still there.. I think he should take the brave pill and give the thing some stick!
a friend of mine has a supercharged 172 ph1 still being tested and wondered if the torque you see in the graph isn't too much for just 0,3 bar
he has an eaton m62, cat cams 421 and 182 manifold
here's the graph:
well not quite! the UK cars have equal 21" wipers, and a different wiper mechanism , whereas the other european cars have different size wipers like you said (530/450)
I unplugged mine today with the engine running and it stopped. does this mean anything?
beside this, I have a lumpy idle since I have the car, but got used to it since otherwise the car is fine. could replacing this sensor solve this idle issue?
well I've installed it all back together and first the idle went somewhere between 1200-1500 rpm quite longer than I've expected but when the car got to optimal temperature the idle went back to normal. took a drive with the car and it's ok. for now..
I removed the leads and the plugs away from the car, they looked ok. now I'll have to figure out how to check out the leads, maybe put them on another car I don't know
while the plenum is unbolted I thought I giveit a good clean but how on earth is this plug coming out? (the one that enters the...
yesterday I went out with the car after 4 day of resting (the car that is..) and noticed that the engine (while still cold) had the tendency to cut of fuel under acceleration, not too bad but you could feel it
Then I stopped to hear it idle for a while and it was obvious I had a problem, the...
So let's start the story since last spring when I had an accident. a pretty nasty one. about 4k were spent to fix the car, the left front end was damaged (headlight, lower arm, subframe, front bumper, a small dent in the roof above the upper corner of the door, and some other smaller stuff, as...
