I noticed there was an adapter loom on the end of the Renault loom. I guess it would be pretty simple to remove that adapter and plug directly in. That should give me 1/2 an idea.
I didnt have time / light to do that tonight.
It works! It beeps , I can hear the CD motor do its thing.
I just get static from the radio but I am ok from that but the bit I really wanted working is the display next to the clock temp - I get sod all from that.
Now, I normally take what @Krarl says with a pinch of salt but he was pretty specific I needed a pre 2004 tunerlist radio. I am pretty sure ( unless anyone can tell me otherwise ) that is a tunerlist pre 2004 radio?
It came from a Clio 172 ...
Something isn’t right here. I think it’s the parrot getting in the way.
Known good Clio 172 54 plate cd / radio.
Can hear static. Beeps.
Nothing on the clock / temp though. Audio works via Bluetooth ( parrot )
I suspect the loom adapter has broken this part. The stalks appear to work.
Today I went to see the Renault Oracle that is Paul from https://diamond-performance.co.uk/ to do a driveshaft swap and a gearbox fluid change
First job was to drain the gearbox fluid. It did contain some sparkly treasure but as it settle to the bottom it doesnt exist. It also looks a bit...
Jobs to do list
Validate if radio is OE or not
Checkstraps - replace
Interior clean
Soft touch plastic de fly trap
Touch up the exterior plastics that have gone grey
Bodywork - few dents
Bodywork - few scratches
Near side front wheel has gone milky in places.
Offside driveshaft swap
O2 sensor...
Next up on the to do list - clock / radio cluster.
The one I had was failing. The digits weren't working never mind the backlight.
Paul from Diamond-Performance donated a cluster to the cause and I purchased a pack of 10 bulbs. Of the first 6 , 4 did not fit too well. Awesome quality control...
@Brigsy was right! I must admit I did wince a bit at the angle of bend and the force I needed to remove the existing pump but new febi item is in place and working fine!
My wiper pump has stopped working.
First things first I’ll check the fuse. I have grabbed some Renault documentation and …
The fuse box is located in the passenger compartment on the drivers side.
You what now?
Ah , it means on the passenger side end of dash!
Just been out and flicked a...
I think my o2 sensor is at the end of its life and it seems to read but very slowly!
I cant be more accurate with that at the minute. I have a brand spanking new one but not had the inclination to fit ( or time! ) but Ill update as and when I do!
Version 0.1.5.1 is now live. This includes:
- backend fixes
- localization updates
- fixed hang after exiting licence event HC-05
- fixed hang when starting a special event
Post paint I had to get some new decals.
I appear to have slightly nudged the number 2 when fitting but its nigh on identical to the other side. Both passed Renault QC I am sure ..
Issue 195 - https://www.evo.co.uk/gallery/news/evonews/292081/evo_magazine_may_2014_best_hot_hatchbacks_ever.html
I don’t recall the trophy number but the GT Turbo was at the time a Renault owned car
I think I can find some time in the corkscrew.
Also if I get the exit from Rainey curve wrong it ends up in a poor lap
I am not 100% confident that I am fast in turn 11 which leads onto the start / finish straight. 3rd doesnt feel right and 2nd too high in the revs.
