the Renault mount is far too flimsy and will not support the exhaust properly. The thing to do is unbolt that mount from the car altogether, take a knife and cut the rubber mount out, go to halfords and for a couple of quid ask for a Ford (IIRC) fitment type rubber exhaust mount, this is MUCH...
just checked my receipt, mine was £320.49 fitted 08/11/2003. But IIRC I got £10 nocked off as I had to return to have it fitted because they weren't able to fit it the first time.
^^ what he said, but to be honest mate you will find that due to the extra weight of the magnex you'll need to improve the mount anyway. PM for pics of mine and I'll take some at the weekend.
fpmsl at this thread. Don't use abbreviations in future, keep in nice and simple for everyone, lol. Reminds me of Big Brother last night when they had to explain to Imogen what 'saboteur' meant.
all this talk of "you shouldn't have to hide stuff" and "people should have respect" is all nonsense, people don't have respect. End of. Hide it, lock it, alarm it, nail it down, or it gets nicked, simple.
as said though, even if they were caught, what would they get? That's the trouble with this country, people know they can get away with it so they just steal anything they like.
Steves right, I had my twin re-fitted completely, the garage removed the whole system and cut it down near the cat to allow it to be re-positioned and now its completely straight, they require a bit of adjustment.
lol, i'm in need of motivation to actually put mine up for sale :( I've started saving but it's going to be soooo hard to let mine go, I've looked after it so well from day 1. It doesn't understand 'Car Park' and 'Dirty'.
