i had the exact same problem with my 172, used a jet wash on the sills after a trip to cornwall and it lifted the paint off the sill. It cost me £60 to get Chipsaway to sort it, my advice though, get it sorted STRAIGHT away, if you don't the area for repair can become massive.

yeah, we all managed to get split up unfortunately, I hung around for a bit but with a long journey down south looming over me I couldn't stay any longer. I'm sure i'll do the next one though as its a good reason to come up for the weekend and stay at my mum and dads. Should organise another...

I made it into the first pic, that was just before I left for Surrey (260 mile journey). I was up for 23hrs!!

i used a mates ramp in his car garage, raised the car up to shoulder height, nice and easy :)
