Car is knocking like crazy, (top mount spacer) I don't think it'd survive 140 miles round trip so I'm out for this one. Sorry chaps.

On the suspension side of things..... Ball joint or top mounts? To check if balljoint is gone.. jack car up, grab the wheel at "3" and "9" and try to wobble it, if there's a lot of play, change the balljoint. To check the top mount I think you can do the same, but grabbing the wheel at "12"...

Re: Just Broke my i phone !!! The screen is supposed to be horrendously strong, and if the phone landed flat on its face, there would be little damage to the phone, just to the screen. At the same time, phones are supposed to be able to take some degree of punishment, it's something you carry...

Looks like a good little meet, really sorry I didn't come by, I had to drive all the way back from Luton and then 30 miles off course to get there, and when Adz said it was a full car park etc, and I got no reply in the thread, I assumed it had been a failure :(

Splitter may look better CC'd? Fecking love how low it is though. Nice one.

Don't know what the top mount assembly is like on the mk1's, but you'll need a deep 17mm socket or a 17mm spanner to get the compression nut off if it's like a mk2.

Cheap coilovers. Doesnt ruin your standard shocks for when you want to sell, you can choose your ride height, and IME, the ride is better in general.
