Problem has been solved mate. Ended up getting it diagnosed and it turned out that an ABS sensor wasnt working properly, only giving out power half-none of the time.
Everything is running fine now, no warning lights or any problems :D
Just a general thought on this... OP said it has FSH. But the cambelt hasnt been done. Isnt the cambelt part of the 36k/5year service?
Therefore, it hasnt totally got FSH?
Just wondering, as I bet that there are quite a few ads out there that say FSH, but havent had cambelt done.
I think its either £15 or £20 to advertise for 3 weeks. Ebay is £15 isnt it?
Im hoping it does stand out lol... I think im going to put it up in the next couple of weeks as I can live without a car for a month or so and I think it'll be best to get it up sooner rather than later.
Tax is until July.
Its the fact that I dont want it sat there all through the winter not moving. Im guessing it cant be good for a car to sit for weeks on end through that time of the year.
In the same respect, I wont be knocking off hundreds of pounds just to shift it. At the end of the day, I...
Thats a good idea! :)
Ive just been speaking to my dad about it, and he says that if it goes earlier than planned, then I can use his car to go to Uni... :D
He works nights, so he's in bed most of the day anyway, but as its his car, I obviously cant rely on having it for Uni all the time.
Nope, never had to sell a car. My first was traded in with the dealer, and my girlfriend bought my old Clio.
I was thinking of putting it up for £2900 (£2750 for CS members). Bearing in mind it is just about to hit 50k miles, FSH (mainly Renault), Cambelt done and is in really good condition...
So would you say that Autotrader is a better place to advertise, rather than eBay?
Im trying to work out whether I can get by without the car. I can use my dads for lectures on Monday and Tuesday, which just leaves Thursday and the occasional Friday (which I could still use it for, depending on...
As the 200 Cup is on order :o I need to start thinking about advertising the 172.
The new car is due on the 15th of December, but I can make do without a car from 1st December, as thats my last week at Uni and work is only local to me.
When should I put this up for sale, to ensure that its...
Yep, exactly!
Im extremely happy with what will be coming to me anyway! At 21 years old, I cant complain at having a "bog standard" brand new Clio 200 Cup lol.
Yup the GT one just sticks out slightly more, with a brake light. He said that was £200 and the Cup spoiler, with the "fin" type things on the ends is £400.
What??? Ill get on the phone to them on Monday then to see if they can change that... Told me £395 for the Cup spoiler and £195 for GT Spoiler.
That was the one thing I actually wanted, and was willing to pay about £200 for it...
Lol... it had to be done tbf, just needed to make sure i could afford it ;)
The only option that i wanted was the Cup Spoiler, but at £400 it wasnt worth it...
I was also tempted by the monitor, but when am I going to need to see my 0-60 times n what not lol
Yep, off Richard... Sargara spoke very highly of him and everyone in this thread seems to have the same opinion. Didnt even bother ringing Lookers or anyone else about it.
Just bog standard mate.
Ordered 200 Cup in RB. I did want to Cup Spoiler but isnt really worth an extra £400 tbh, it looks awesome, but not £400 awesome ;)
I would have preferred it in Ultra Red, but they couldnt do it on a Cup so had to go with my next preferred colour of RB.
Standard 5 spoke...
Im just going on what ive been advised its worth. Also, I wouldnt want to put it up for say for example £3.5k and it doesnt sell. Id need it gone before the 200 comes tbh...
As long as you're happy with the car and it runs fine, I wouldnt worry too much about how much you paid tbh... Warranty will do you very good aswell, RS parts are very expensive ;)
To put in perspective, I bought mine in February this year for £3.5k. It was on 42k miles, cambelt already done...
