If it helps I put dyno mat (self adhesive sound deadening) inside all the doors to help those niggly rattles… Other than that I can’t really help much. Sorry!

Bearing in mind I use mine for teaching the unteachables to drive, I do a lot of pootling at slow speeds, stopping and starting etc and also a lot of idling doing repetitive manoeuvres for hours on end and I’ve done 300 miles minimum to a tank regardless for the last 132k.

If 33mpg average and 40’s on a motorway run is incredibly thirsty then sure… I can’t comment on stop start as I don’t have that, thank god.

They’re incredibly deceptive, incredibly capable but also incredibly normal at the same time.

And they’re French.. no one steals French cars, they’re too ‘unreliable’ 😂

Does it get worse one direction or the other? sounds like a wheel bearing to me.

Does it change when cornering?

I’m with Greenlight for the Megane and for the last 5 years have been unbeatable by quite some margin. Unfortunately I’m stuck with Adrian Flux for the Clio due to the nature of my business. They seem to know they have me over a barrel although last year’s renewal was incredibly good!

Scuttle panel might be clear but the actual drains might be blocked and backing up.

Get it in the air and spin the wheels. You’ll soon hear if it’s wheel bearings. I changed all 4 of mine at about 100k.
