I’ve done 20k on a set of fronts that still have ~2-2.5mm left. They’re wearing very well IMO.

Pretty sure they’ll be ok. If it fails you can simply show them they screwed up 😂

@Lazytrucker Are you talking about the sidelights in the top of the headlight unit? If so they’re dummy’s. The DRLs in the bumper are your sidelights, they should dim down when the side lights are switched on.

How bizarre. I’ve had it where pupils have knocked the full beams on while driving and I’ve not noticed but the headlights have been on but not the full beam and then the stalk doesn’t do anything, no flash no side lights no main beams (the indicators still work though).

Hmm, mine doesn’t have stop start… are you actually turning the car off or just letting the stop/start ‘stop’ then getting out? Not sure if I explained that very well.

Deffo pointing towards battery then. If the voltage or temperature are out of spec it’ll disable the start stop (which, let’s face it isn’t a bad thing 😂).

AGM stop start batteries are generally more expensive 😠. My Mk4 doesn’t have start stop but it has a smart charging system so has an AGM battery.

Mk1 & Mk2’s were common for the rear light cluster to get crap behind the seal don’t know if Mk3’s suffer the same… worth checking/cleaning. Door seals? Windscreen? My Meganes door pockets would fill with water and I never worked out how until I had a new windsofitted and the bloke basically...

Inside of the glass means it’s condensation, so the water is getting in somewhere (not necessarily the roof)… are all the carpets dry?

Check whether it stays solid when you crank it… Take the tdc sensor off and give it a good clean or try a new one.

I first put a blink camera up, was ok and did the job but the app is laggy, slow to load and highly annoying that it won’t continuously play unless you keep hitting the ‘continue’ button when it pops up. Put up a 2nd Gen Ring camera and immediately the difference in picture and sound quality...
