I would recommend driving it and enjoying it as is then seeing what needs changing. One of the best mods I did to mine was a powerflex dog bone mount insert (lower gearbox Mount).

When I spoke with Apple I think they said below 80% is when they would suggest a change.

I would say in my opinion that yours has a cup spoiler pack but not suspension pack so isn’t a full fat. The wheels look to into the arches for the suspension pack to be fitted.

Yours was lovely too, I think this looks fresh on the silver turini’s but yours on anthracite turini’s looks moodier.

I’d say go for it definately. The screen is a bit of a pain on them, but not hard to do. Mainly making sure the cables lie correctly after replacement.

If your determined to do something to it, then the best thing I did was lower mine. Get some springs on it and some decent tyres and it will handle well.

I had a 1.2 16v Clio for a few years. In that time I had a stealth exhaust system, lowered it, fitted 172 alloys and interior...... enjoy it and learn to drive in it and save up for a 172/182.

I remember switching from an itg maxogen to a ph1 box in my 172 and thought it was actually better. Definately felt like it pulled better and certainly sounded just as good with a piperx filter!

How simple was it? Might be an avenue I look at later on.

This is absolutely epic! Love seeing these beasts around. Would love an estate version, I remember they could have the 2 extra seats in the boot they were that big!

Looks a really nice example, and again nice to see one being kept standard (ish). You could always replace the sticky interior bits while you track down some decent ones, or would maybe a coat or two of plastidip look similar? I’m sure I’ve seen it done somewhere.

I thought changing the chra wasn’t as simple as it seems because it needs to be put in the exact way and then balanced up? May be more hassle than it’s worth?

Love it with the 182 wheels. They seem to suit flame red and Monaco so well. You’ve made some nice progress on this, looks very nice. Wish I could have another 172/182, miss the feel of driving one. Sadly stuck with my Fabia vrs for a bit though.

I remember there was a red cosworth rotting on a drive by me, it was sat there for ages and I assumed it was a rep, but no it was a genuine escort cosworth. Such a shame. Long gone now though, never did find out what happened. It wasn’t in a great area either.

That’s a nice little bonus then! Looking again at it it does sit really well. Also I’ve heard them with the centre silencer chopped out, certainly sounds how it should’ve from the factory.
