    197 LUX Project

Yeah I’ve had a 182 and two 172’s and I was amazed with the mpg they returned. Love the look of yours. The rear with the tips does look complete and finished.

    197 LUX Project

Looks lovely mate. Really like these, but I’m tight and the mpg scares me. Ha.

    Clio 200 edc disappointed ..

I drove a non-cup 200 a while ago. I really liked it but as has been echoed above on the 10 mile test drive I didn’t quite gel with it. The salesman was pushing me on and although it was quick the gearbox has a few niggles like slow to react. I was driving a merc slushbox auto so it was much...

    My Focus ST Family Wagon

Lol at the prices though, rrp £2085, our price £2295.41...... seems a bargain! Car looks lovely. A couple of houses near me have them and they look the business. Ones orange and looks amazing, but I like the stealthy look of the black.

    182 front ABS sensor removal

I managed to do mine on a 172 without removing the hub. I smacked the top bit off with a chisel and hammer and then drilled it out. Worked a dream and the new one fitted straight in. Did the sandpaper trick on it as well.

    Ph1, Ph2 gearstick

I’ve had both the ph1 gearstick in my 182 and a richbrook round knob on my 172. Ph1 was brilliant feeling but the richbrook was equally nice. They pop up now and then (ph1) for around £20-25. Not fun fitting it though.

    My New-ish 182 FF

Custom show plates on cleaned RB182

That looks really great. Well done. Just a shame we have to drive with front number plates!

How do I know if my car is a 172 or 182?

Also the seats in a 182 were ever so a lightly different, with a dotted Alcantara insert in the seat. You can tell the difference. Also you could measure the suspension bolt holes to see if it’s cup packed, as it has a cup rear spoiler.

How do I know if my car is a 172 or 182?

As said above it wouldn’t be the first time cars were registered incorrectly. My 1st 172 was a cup apparently, despite actually being a normal 172. I would bet it is a 182 as has also been said above, can’t see someone changing the rear boot floor just for an exhaust.

How do I know if my car is a 172 or 182?

Iirc the boot floor of he 182 did look ‘messed with’ or an afterthought. As the body and bodywork was pretty much the same. Im sure 2004 saw both the last 172 and early 182 models, so chances are it is. What colour is it? Post a picture as that will give clues too.

My first Mk3 - Ultra Red R27 with Akrapovic

Absolutely beautiful mate. Congrats! Bet the days are dragging!! I think it looks really nice on those wheels, different to the usual black multi spokes.

Just brought first 182, What mods?

Ph1 172 gearstick or richbrook ball gearknob changes the feel. Nice exhaust and enjoy!

Clio 182 factory wax on inner sills?

this is worrying for a future purchase. I thought this era Clio didn’t rust so I was under the impression they were treated. Scary to see rust down there. Reminds me of the old minis.

    No insurance, tax or MOT

Iirc driving without insurance is 6 points and a fine, mot and tax will be dealt with via a fine by dvla I think. Maybe a ban as he failed to even do one of the three. Stupid though because of the risk to others. I can’t see how anyone can get away with it nowadays though.

    172/182 NEW MEMBER *HELP*

Looks nice. Definitely get some more pictures up. (Looks like a Fabia splitter in the pics, not a bad thing, most people have fitted them!) also got the bonus of Turini’s!!

    First clean of 2019

Looks really nice for the miles! Us indicators I believe. Bmw and vw people have them.

    Replacement gear knob

It has more weight to it and just feels better, more positive. Might have been in my mind but it felt good.

    Replacement gear knob

I’ve fitted both in the past. The ph1 gearstick should come complete as the whole unit so replaces your existing one and was the nicest but also the more difficult of the two having to lower the exhaust slightly to fit it. (Might be able to manoeuvre round it) but was the best for feel in my...

Rear shock bolt into hub? Where I get a new one.

I had the same situation at the same point roughly putting the bolt back in when I changed my rear springs on my old 172. Renault didn’t stock it but I managed to get a bolt from a local little nut and bolt shop which apparently was stronger. Had to get someone to drill it out for me because I...
