How about putting a bit more on your budget and picking up a 200t?

Someone far more qualified will answer properly but removing them and polishing the area should be fine and get rid of any marks. They look aftermarket and not from the factory so might not have been on for as long as the car has been around, and in this country I doubt the paint would fade...

Although its 'just' a standard 200, it's cheap enough, has optional full leather interior, and everything can be done relatively cheaply to improve it (springs, wheels, remove stripes etc)

Those screws will crumble with a drill put on them, then your clear to change them mate.

There's an 'older' gentleman in Stafford that drives a completely standard I think sierra cosworth. Looks lovely but he drives it like it's a normal car whenever Ive see it. Like he's just popping to the shops or something.

There is a whole section for 'personal exports' and it says only if you are exporting it yourself. No ibformation anywhere to say what to do.
