I have done almost 18,000 miles now on the standard Conti Sports, and i think its almost time for a change. I am thinking of going for Toyo Proxes, Demontweeks want £225.00 for 4 fitted, or i can get them for £162.80 from mytyres.net and get them fitted for extra. But are these tyres my best...
just been out in mine now, and have successfully managed to rev it up to the limiter warning light in both 3rd then 4th and change gear without actually hitting the limiter, thats a first!!
yeah there is no point in going to a different set of rollers, if i get it done it will be back at Power Engineering (Uxbridge Again). Oh, and bambam, i am a member, ive paid my money, i just thing the old cliosport admin department are running a bit slow at the moment as I havent been updated.

ok, just been out in it again, and its DEFINATELY faster, its not just my head. Acceleration comes a lot easier and is much smoother, just keeps on going!!
I must say I am very surprised about the amount of difference this makes, is it just all in my head, or did everyone else find this? is it likely to give any extra significant Bhp?
Just a quickie, my old man is looking at buying an R plate 1.4 RT Clio for me mother, what Bhp will it be? And what should we look out for on the car?
Many thanks,
Gaz
Finally got it fitted today, all i can say is, ooooh its nice. It smells quite a bit though, exhausty smell and like exhaust/metal/putty smell, does that sound normal (Lee M & Telford_Mike)?

im 22 and drive a 172, (it may not be a valver buts its the same kind of class of car), and id like to think if at 32 i chose to drive the same kind of car (because i still chose to) it wouldnt be a problem. If you like it, then i for one dont see any problem. Enjoy it, and sod everyone else...
just phoned tweeks up, there has been an incorrect batch of Magnex systems made without the connecting brackets welded to them, so they are having to make one up for me to send out, so i aint gonna get it fitted till thursday or friday now. ARSE.
near the front, you have the manifold, followed by a box, followed by another larger box, followed by the back box, i think its the larger second box doing it (just under the drivers seat).
Just been out to my car, reved the engine, and jesus! It sounds like the exhaust is going to fall off, i am getting a full magnex system fitted this afternoon or tommorow, does anyone know if this will solve the problem?
