TDC sensor? If you know where it is, take it out, clean it off, if it starts first time, then it's prob that, still may need a new one, car can be started by wiggling it then turning it over though! ;)

I'm pretty sure i read you painted them recently, so the colour should match in nice and easy, if you want a particularly even finish then yeah laquer the whole thing once done. BTW check your PM's when you get a chance.

Recently did the exact thing on my friends fietsa bumper after someone hit the bit we'd painted with a shopping trolley.... Sand it back so its smooth, something like 800, 1200 should do, the mask up a small square around the area, give it quite a few layers of high build primer every 20 mins...

Tbh i think you'd be better off to buy one over there for cheaps. Sure you'd be able to pick one easy enough, at the airport when you land maybe??

Glad to hear its alive and well, if you can't afford have the rear wing repaired atm why not either have a go at repairing it yourself or just paint it as it to get it to match? Just a thin coat or something, so it doesnt cost the earth in paint, but looks better than an odd pannel? Looking...

Looks like they did a top job on it mate. New headlights really bring it to life. I'm buying a 172 in 6 weeks or so and i'm set on a ph2 as i dont think a ph1 would be different enough to my current, but come purchase time i'd still buy yours, any day of the week!

Do you not think the 1.2's are the same as the RS's though, some engines are just better than others? I've gone against my friends 16v once, just on an empty A road at night from 30 up to 70 and i was just ahead. I know of a few 8v's that made quite a bit over the book figure on the rollers too...

Totally agree on the noise over the top, i can appreciate the song, i can appreciate the engine, but its like that advert where they say two things at the same time and you just cant concentrate!

Looking good so far man, once you've done the bonnet you can take some nice pics (even if only from one side) ;) What effect did WD40 have on the roof?? It cant have taken away the uneven-ness can it?

Looks brilliant mate, the more 1.2's i see colour coded the more i know its what needs doing to mine! Could definately do with lowering, but then again so could mine!!!

I don't know why i've never seen this car but i feel my life is better now i've seen it. ;)
