Never seen those before, a good price too, like them for sure, but being 15" you'd need to lower the car to make them look good, other wise they'll look rather lost in the arches.
Yeah just cropped down so that they fit together and and then cropped as one big image to get the final image to a square where they were a bit bumpy around the edges!
Edit: Third one was the view out of my hotel room in Queenstown, celing to floor windows ftw!
My first ever post in here so be gentle...
I'm no photographer but after a trip to NZ i have so many pics to sort through but i thought i'd do these first.... All taken with a point and click and then stitched on PC with no editing... yet.
Hopefully some normal ones to come once...
Go b&q and just get a self tapper that looks about the same length and head size, its not gonna make a world of difference?
Failing that just take the middle one out and have 8 out of 9 screws? Lets face it, 9 isnt gonna stop the fucker from snapping off on a kerb any more than 8 is!
How many layers of paint are you doing per pannel out of interest? Currently doing a mates fiesta and the new bonnet seems to be eating paint for brekkie!!! Basically how thin'er coat can i get away with?
Reliable zippo, thank god for you, i thought teh internets was broken!
Pics have been posted recently without mentioning it was my missus... (skinny's hottie thread)
Great update, the damage to the rear certainly isnt noticeable from a distance at all so as long as your not trying to get this minty mint its fine. Like the black and red theme going on although being such a fun project i do think it could lend itself to something wacky!
Good effort for sure...
I dunno one man hearding anothers rigid, and then trying to organise a meet? Where is CS heading?
On a practical note, if you cannot get the MDf in, use it as a template to cut out some ply as it will flex into place?
Cool cheers, i always found that rubbing down the paint on its final layer took any metalic out of it, i guess i'll have to have a crack at hitting it with compound!
Sorry one more question, won't clog up your thread any more, is that 1500 and cut onto the paintwork before laquering? Or Once all is done and laqured?
I'd rather put her on the insurance for a month or so just so i dont end up in a dodgy situation, i.e police or her crashing into someones motor or something!!! Knowing my car related luck, it'd happen!
Really? Well thats good news! I'm with swiftcover who are mainly internet based so trying to talk to them is a bit of a pain, but i'll give it a go. (I'll be on in a few weeks looking for recommendations for good wheel re-furbers!!!) :S
Paul i need you in my life! Make my car look like this and i'd be having man-gasms every time i went to get in it!
Good work!
Do you not find the g3 compound very abrasive on new paintwork?
Has anyone added their missus or anyone on a provisional to their policy recently?
Preferably 1.2 owners, but anything will give me an idea, shes bugging me to have a go in her car to learn the absolute basics before she does lessons so she doesnt feel like an idiot.
Does it cost a fortune as...
I'm with fubar on the plate, some people have it so that it perfectly fills the recess (essentially just shorter and the same width)
Would like to see a pic of the renault sport badge from straight, as it does look a little wonky :-P but i do like the new style badge.
Not sure on the font and...
