I'd say they're easily worth it, the best value for money (and indeed still the best) modification I've done to date! Some people sell the RSTuner with maps already, so potentially the only cost may be the Unlock code if you sell the RSTuner on.

Can you not modify the gear knob so the stick goes further up? Or is it already at the edge anyway? More hassle than its worth!

Wouldn't bother with 2400mhz, you can pick up 1600mhz for £25, and in real world apps you won't see any difference (even benchmarking you won't see much).
