Megs are oily, I didn't particularly like them. The glaze was OK however (think they came as a package with my 7424 when I first imported it 7 years ago :S).
Half a bottle of 203s should be fine if you are using a rotary. If you are using a DA, you might need two hits on VAG paint. Toyota paint...
Sorry, you said the T word.
Machine polishing will be the main solution. However, if you don't have access to, or have a friend with, hand polishing using a light cut hand pad and 203s from Menzerna might help you. Failing that the GTechniq P1 and polish pad could be a solution.
Re: What have you ordered?
Yeah I've heard similar stories actually. I'm wanting to try a few things this next detail time, 203s with the Prime, 3.02 on a 3M (not needed to step up that far so far!) and a decent finishing pad with some RMG... Maybe some P1, but we'll see.
Can I paypal you for...
John's a funny old thing. When he first started posting on AS he was quite sharp and blunt, but he does great write ups and the fecker is everywhere on DW!! He's really mellowed out now, though. Nice chap. Maybe he just needed to get into things and settle down into the new job.
Great example, read it a few times myself. I just can't help thinking that in that time he could have gone round with some Lime Prime and most likely corrected a larger proportion of the swirls - it is Honda paint after all!
